  1. I’ve been posting here only a small amount of time, but the “you’re stupid for thinking/wanting this team to ever be good again” stinks.
  2. I think they can get to a competitive state (as in possibly win the division) in 2026. They'll have money to spend which we will hope Getz spends smarter than Hahn ever did. And they have a decent amount of pitching prospects that'd you'd hope a few of them will work out at least.
  3. And that dork is absolutely giddy about that.
  4. Seems like they are starting to look much better than they did at the beginning of spring.
  5. A lot of people don't think the return for Cease is light, and I'm not holding it against anyone who thinks they can fix Kopech and then go, "Welp, nevermind." Guy is obviously his own worse enemey.
  6. Yeah I really don't know what people want from Getz currently. There isn't a single person in baseball who could have came in and fixed this situation with the situation/assets he has to work with.
  7. Good. The hope would be that he shows something again as a bullpen arm and then move him.
  8. What players was he given to develop that had any shot to begin with?
  9. I agree with this. Your SS this year should also at least give you defense and a little bit of pop. Last year that position provided absolutely nothing.
  10. I went with B. I'm not going to pretend I know a ton about any of these guys, but Thorpe seems like a real deal and the other two have possible huge upside. Plus the reliever with a ton of control is a nice little bonus to me, keep him or potential flip guy. Getz is actually building pitching depth which is nice. Hahn would get five guys and call it a day.
  11. Neither of those guys put up his numbers, but sure.
  12. That’s why I’m willing to give Getz a chance and roll my eyes at the “he was in charge of development” lines. He was given nothing to develop.
  13. Making me hope the Yankees destroy the O’s this year. Good job.
  14. Zavala being part of it makes it a big win for the Sox to me. I don't know if it's "steep" but Sox for sure got enough for him.
  15. Oh hell yeah now this trade is cooking.
  16. If Rosenthal is correct, then I think Getz played this perfectly. I'd rather be optimistic than pessimistic about the future when it comes to sports.
  17. I'm in agreement overall, but I just see them keeping them until the end. Not sure why.
  18. I think the Sox will have a good team in his last two years.
  19. Not knowing the return is brutal. Cmon.
  20. He lost all credibility when he said Ohtani was on a flight to Toronto and he wasn't.
  21. Keeping him around as the backup does not seem worth it for the potential team issues it could cause. I think you trade him for whatever you can get, which at this point is probably a fourth rounder to be a backup somewhere else.
  22. To do what? That sounds like a locker room disaster.
  23. This is where I'm at. Chris Getz didn't say they were competing this year, Reinsdorf did. I'd like to think Getz looked at the situation and said, "Yeah we are punting this year."
  24. To fill out a roster with cheap guys you can easily cut while you wait for the younger guys to come up and take their place. Also hope some of them give you a little something so you can trade them at the deadline.
