I am enjoying all the youngsters and their development. Very likable group, Mike Vasil might be the ringleader on keeping things loose in the clubhouse. To me something changed when Grady took over last year and has continued with Venable.

If you look at Vargas's splits, he is terrible at Sox Park. I am not giving up on him, let's see how the rest of the year plays out.

Assuming some roster spots will be opening up with the Trade deadline who do you think will get called up from the minors?

Can the Sox control Robert for 2026 & 2027 for $ 20 million per year? Your post the other day about the team's payroll and TV income has me thinking of the possibility of keeping Robert this season. A Spring trade could be a different story based on his production & health for the rest of 2025

If Robert plays like he did against the Pittsburgh in the upcoming series with Philadelphia he will be on Phillies team plane leaving O'Hare Wednesday July 30.

When Robert had some tightness and TL told him not to bust it running out a typical infield ground out the national media ran with it. The optics were not good to the fan that didn't know the reason behind it.

I miss Frank, he was great with Ozzie & Chuck. When the Big Hurt was doing Fox with Pete Rose it was great. I was not happy when they let Frank go and went with Big Pappy , A-Rod, and Jeter, I have not watched since.

Be like Mike, no Be Like Milwaukee. The Brewers do more with less and get results. They let Counsel go to their rivals last year and still came in first place in the NL Central. Vaughn has a chance to thrive with a restart to his career, which was totally mishandled by the Sox. With the LaRussa/Grifol era in the rear-view mirror I think the development of the Sox youngsters under Venable will flourish. What you don't hear is clubhouse cancer and how bad the team is being run. I don't think that will be an issue under Venable. He has been around baseball his whole life with his dad, playing, and coaching under a future HoF manager. By the time Venable starts getting noticeable results JR will be either gone or close to it. I have to believe Ishbia will want to make a statement and sign a mega star or retain budding stars.

Veneable likes Tauchman's leadership with all the young guys on the team. I would keep him around for next year. 2026 White Sox 1st Vargas 2nd Sosa SS Meidroth 3rd Montgomery C Q & Teel LF Benny Center Baldwin Right starter ? , Tauchman reserve DH ?

I enjoyed every minute of the 3 games in Pittsburgh.

I was impressed with Gonzalez last night, let's see what he can do if the Trade Dead Line opens up some roster spots. The Sox have some defensive flexibility with the youngsters, Montgomery, Meidroth, and Baldwin. The Robert jr Bon Voyage Tour is starting out spectacular.

Hopefully whenever Ishbia takes over all the Reinsdorf nonsense goes away and the GM can deal with everyone.

Pedro Grifol would have fit right in.
