  1. I thought that was going to be 3 run inning for sure
  2. Robert should consider converting to Jobuism
  3. That's actually being quite generous
  4. How does a 91 win team like the O's have 33% larger pool than the Sox.
  5. Chasing every pitch six inches outside of the strike zone wasn't working either though
  6. Can't be any worse than Vaughn in RF, in a season the sox were supposedly going to be competitive no less. At least now it doesn't matter if he sucks
  7. If a couple starting pitchers and a couple batters prove to have some long term value, that's about the most we can hope for with this season
  8. The only thing to enjoy at this point is individual performances. Just hope guys like Shane Smith or Quero put together some good games
  9. Dalbec has started 2 games with 5 appearances at SS at major league level with 15 starts at AAA, for the actual record
  10. If I had any idea what that even means, I would That was the Earl Weaver strategy, with which he was only slightly successful
  11. The commonality is that both significantly reduced viewership, which inevitably will erode the fan base.
  12. Yeah but on the other hand you can always plug in the position with short term guys like Thaiss. Think I'd still rather have a couple top 50ish shortstops or centerfielders. Back when the Sox were actually generally pretty good they were fine plugging in with guys like Marc Johnson or Chad Kreuter behind the plate
  13. Rizzo hasn't out produced him in the last two years, why would he start now. The fact the Yankees played him the last two years is evidence to support that Vaughn would have been signed had he been non tendered, if anything
  14. Why in the world would you have the infield drawn in, in double play situation with one out?? That should've been a tailor made DP.
  15. If the question is whether Vaughn could have been non-tendered and then re-signed for less this past off season, his current production is irrelevant. There were in fact several teams that got worse production from first base over the past couple years that presumably may have been willing to sign him, were he a free agent several months ago.

Okay you convinced me. I no longer believe the Sox do not have a young mlb ready OFer since I would then have to believe the O's lack of starting pitching is a failure on their part. Thanks for talking sense into me

OK but we know the white sox don't have any near mlb ready OF prospect either way, whether the fact of the O's lacking sufficient starting pitching is a failure or not
  18. Perez was the one guy I thought Sox could count on for 30 decent starts. Sox going to need like ten starters to get through the season. Clevinger probably back in the rotation by June

Sox should move Braden up to AA, though. I thought it was obvious after ST that he was too advanced for A ball. We're a minimum year and a half away from having any legit OF prospects making the roster

This makes no sense. If we are to believe the Sox have no young outfielder to call up, that means the O's failed to have good starting pitching prospects? One has nothing to do with the other. The Sox in fact have no young outfielders to call up, how's that even questionable
