There is no explanation. A bone spur should be readily identifiable on a standard physical for an MLB player.

I’m so waiting for Sizemore to put him into the top of the 9th in a 0-1 game. Please tell me he’s going to do it.

I just remember the good ole days. When we argued about who was the better SS, Javy or TA. What a delusional trip that was 🤣 -

Assuming they decline Stassi and Moncada, I see 12 current 26 man players under contract. $30-35m doesn’t go very far. I expect total payroll to be closer to $80m… -
If I were an Illinois Congessman, I’d demand this disclosure as part of his plea for a $1bn stadium. Of course I would reject the proposal but…Id ask first 🤣

HBP, Walk, Single, zero runs. The epitome of the team Chris Getz has assembled. -

I think it’ll be around $80m. -
Honest question. So are the 81% shareholders essentially just silent owners? That seems insane. Obviously they’ve all already got generational wealth and will get a windfall when Jerry passes and the team is sold but I can’t imagine running an organization where 4/5ths of the ownership has no decision making ability.

I think they might be even worse next year. It’s about to get wild. -

Every single hitter in the Mets lineup is currently .680+ OPS. Sox don’t have one… I don’t care how bad of a situation Getz stepped into. Thats dogshit. -
This actually makes sense. Not to delve into politics, but Jerry seems to parallel quite a bit with DT. Trump is more vocal in public but their underlying personalities seem similar.

I just got an image of Tony surreptitiously moving around the planchette of an Ouija board in the executive offices. Jerry looks on in amazement while everyone else in the room attempts to hold back vomit. Tony: “What’s is telling us? V….A….R….G…”

God damn. 6 Ks in two innings. Too bad he’ll only go 4 and the bullpen will blow it. -
South Side stand up!

Two guys in the lineup sub .400 ops. Not a single hitter over .680. I know MLB would never intervene on a team basis, but the Sox are so bad that the league will have to come up with some sort of new rules to maintain the competitive balance. If not this off-season, then next offseason after the Sox lose 120+ for two years in a row. -

It basically just says how the Sox find a new comical way to find a lower rock bottom on a near daily basis.

Jerry won’t sell and MLB won’t allow them to move. This is the franchise until Jerry passes. I would be interested to know what the other owners think of this entire debacle. JR is the majority owner but reportedly only owns 19%. It seems feasible to essentially wage a hostile takeover. My guess is that they view it as an investment and are happy to sit on it until Jerry passes and the team is sold for $2.5bn.

It’s insane to even consider, but they might be even worse next year. If they deal Crochet, that costs them multiple wins. Robert has been bad but he’s still the highest WAR position player. Moncada sucks but he’s at least a mildly serviceable MLB player. If those three go, how many actual “MLB Caliber” players are on the roster? Maybe Korey Lee, Davis Martin, and…Vaughn or Benintendi? None of them are impact players for a competing franchise. Couple that with, what will almost certainly be a clown shoes new TV network and they are diving face first to absolute rock bottom.

Who was the previous Director of Player Development again?
-
This is insane. 61 players in a single season? Holy hell.
-
I get the point of getting prospects some MLB experience in garbage time but…this team is historically bad. Is calling up a guy like Iriarte even a net positive? Vargas looks like a sad puppy, Robert seems checked out, Moncada apparently doesn’t even want to play and is just going to coast out the season with “rehab.” I don’t care what the beat writers say, the clubhouse has to be a mess. I’ve never been on an organized athletic team quite this bad, but I have been on some underperforming groups and it’s not fun for anyone. I’d prefer to keep the top prospects as far away as possible from Jerry, Getz, and the MLB team.

Giolito was a headcase and Katz was his security blanket. The guy looked physically ill every time he was on the mound. I actuallY felt bad for him. At least the Sox managed to get a decent return for him and ReyLo.

I needed a good chuckle on. Sunday morning so I just rewatched the first episode of Project Birmingham, lol.
