  1. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 09:28 AM) That makes it right to insult them..? ALL of them..? Scientology deserves to be dragged through the mud, s*** upon and then set on fire. It isn't a religion, it's a cult. As for Katie, you know she's a moron if she's dating a scientologist. I almost hope she gets post-partum depression if they have a child so Tom can go snag the e-meter instead of some pills. The day Tom Cruise shuts up and gets on medication is a good day for the world.
  2. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 12:28 AM) Checking out Oasis's new album Don't Believe the Truth. Got pretty good reviews down here. It has some decent stuff, but whoever the critic was that called Noel a singing advertisement for smoking too much was so dead on. My friend purchased The Disintegration Loops I and II by William Basinski and I will be receiving them shortly. Also since I talked to the lovely Mr. Basinski, I'm f***ing anxious as hell to get my hands on those discs.
  3. I don't like Hawk, but this website is absurd. The Sox organization could do much worse, like, oh I don't know, Len Kasper. "And he threw it awayyyyyyyyyyyyy!" Kudos to the Cubs organization to find a broadcasting team that rivals the absolute s***heap that was Chip Caray and Joe Carter.
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 09:09 PM) you do a great job at writing stories. Most people who do interviews are satisified with putting out a Q&A format story. To actually incorporate the questions and turn it into an article is a step above. Take a pat on the back, because that is solid work. Thank you, I much appreciate it and enjoy writing tremendously. Although it saddens me somewhat when I read Dostoevsky, as I am now, or Nabokov or Vonnegut and I think, "Damn, I'll probably never write as well as this." But I've always been told I write well, so I take much pride in that. Maybe one day I'll turn my rants into some weirdo piece of fiction, who knows.
  5. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 07:48 PM) Beautiful Cerb. Really professional looking. Perhaps I'm in the wrong major? Nothing says useless undergrad degree like German and International Studies.
  6. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 07:12 PM) Congrats on having your site back up Jason. Also nice interview guys with Broadway. I didn't see another thread about it, but just wanted to compliment you guys on it. I liked his answer about my defense question, “I take pride in being able to get off the mound, because, you know, as much faith as I have in my infielders, if I could pick one person for that ball to go to, it would be me. I know I’m going to make an out. I work hard about trying to stay quick, and I know people think of pitchers not as athletes, but I’ll race anybody.” I like that whole paragraph, he sounds like he has plenty of confidence in himself and his fielders. Yeah, he was a really great interview because his answers were all very good. Add to the fact that he was very friendly and that makes for one happy interviewer. Hopefully I get to interview him again on the next FS road trip, whenever that is.
  7. He's 6'4 195 per the TCU website. And I believe he's throwing in the low 90s with his fastball.
  8. Lance Broadway, the newest member of the White Sox after being selected 15th overall in MLB’s First Year Player Draft, still can’t believe what happened just several days ago... “It’s still sinking in, but for the most part, no I really don’t think it has hit me yet,” said Broadway as he graciously agreed to an over the phone interview with FutureSox.com. Read more of the interview
  9. Lance says that we need to consult both the World Bank and the IMF to make sure that the much needed econmic aid reaches the Philippines. I just typed up the interview and once FutureSox gets back up within the next 24 hours, the interview will be the big story.
  10. If you have a question to the mods, keep it private.
  11. I just talked to Lance and had a 6 minute interview with him. Thanks for all your questions, guys. The interview and story will be up very soon.
  12. Hey guys, I just spoke with Lance and I'll be doing the interview with him most likely tomorrow morning somewhere between 9 and 11 AM. As I said earlier, I'll try and incorporate as many questions as possible that you guys submitted.
  13. Lance wasn't at home when I reached his house, so there might be a bit of a delay in the interview. So keep submitting questions!
  14. Thanks for your questions everyone, I'm going to try and incorporate as many of them as possible. I'm calling Lance right now, and the article should be up very soon.
  15. My God, the Sox might be able to fill Bristol or Great Falls up with strictly JC or CC players after this.
  16. Hey everyone, as I said yesterday I was able to talk to the White Sox's first round pick Lance Broadway and scheduled a tentative interview. Well, that interview is in two hours in which I'll be calling him over the phone to ask him some questions. Since we've always asked our readers to submit questions, the same is true here. If you have questions for Lance, which I know you do, SUBMIT THEM NOW! I'll have the full interview up after the interview.
  17. It's Joshua Morgan, and here be his stats, LOTS of power: http://www.southalabama.edu/athletics/base...s/Teamcume.html
  18. 20th round selection - Joshua Morgan - OF - Univ. of South Alabama
  19. QUOTE(Randar68 @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 10:44 AM) I think it's going to take 2nd-3rd round money to sign Cunningham or Cortez, but that's just a guess. I'm unsure Cortez will sign, but Cortez could be considered a fallback option if Danks doesn't sign.
  20. QUOTE(Randar68 @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 10:39 AM) You have any info or just speculating on what it will take to get him? I think late-first to supplemental money... I think Danks would have been a mid to late first round pick if he didn't say he wanted to go to Texas. I'd throw 1.5 million at him and see what he does. I think the Sox can go a bit cheap this year with all the JC and CC players in the first 18 picks (6 of them).
  21. Expect first to second round money, I'd say 7 figures, thrown at Danks.
  22. Day Two will probably be filled with mostly college position players I'd assume. Not exactly a strategy I like, but whatever fills the rosters I guess. As for the JC and CC players, their stats aren't that difficult to find. Usually the college's website says which league the JC or CC plays in, and after googling that you can easily find the player's stats.
  23. Now we get to hear more of Hawk and DJ sucking off Timo when he plays first base. Congrats, Darin Erstad, you're no longer the worst offensive first baseman.
