  1. Nope, don't need expanded replay at all. Sigh.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 08:07 PM) Time to get to Feldman before the good part of the Rangers bullpen comes in. Scheppers first one up. He blows.
  3. Good job by Axelrod tonight. Kept the Sox in the game, which is pretty much all you ask from a 5th starter.
  4. Become best friends with the water vendor. Also hit up the shower in the outfield.
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 10:44 PM) That Alex Williams who plays 1B for Bristol (when Barnum's out) looks like a freaking middle linebacker for Ohio State or Michigan. Just looked at his bio. 6'6 260 LB. Jeeeeesus.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 09:25 AM) Was Heath starting or relieving in the minors? Can we expect to see him pitch several innings on Sunday? Reliever, but was a starter last year and has some spot starts this year. He could probably give you 3 or 4 innings if need be.
  7. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 10:28 PM) Sounds like Crain is hurting. Expect a DL trip. Edit: Duente Heath is probably catching a plane from Atlanta tomorrow morning. If Heath gets called up 8 of the Sox pitchers would be rookies. 11 total on the team then (44% of the roster). Insane.
  8. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 06:37 PM) I really struggle with how to view Saladino. On one hand, he possesses some very interesting skills: great defense, great baserunner, and a tremendous eye at the plate (and displayed real good power the past two years from a middle infielder). On the other hand, he is really struggling to make contact in AA with a poor average and lots of Ks. I guess worst-case scenario he becomes a utility infielder for us, but I just love his OBP skills and defense. At SS, he probably can get away with his poor contact rate and become a decent everyday SS. I think the Sox have been making him take pitches in order to become more selective at the plate. Outside of increasing his BB total, the results haven't been encouraging. That being said, he's 23 and should start in AA next year. Plenty of time for Saladino to turn it around.
  9. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 01:24 PM) Shoemaker is entering cult status territory. Leo Daigle and David Cook among others had similar resumes and didn't make the bigs. Yup. 25 years old and hit well in A+. Not exactly exciting.
  10. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 08:31 PM) One run in 3 innings for Rienzo. Not exactly torched. Walks, as usual with him.
  11. W-S doubleheader: http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...wswafa_lynafa_2 (Upchurch)
  12. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 07:44 PM) Early but Rienzo is putting up nice numbers in his start. Not anymore. Shoemaker in Birmingham's lineup, so everyone can finally shut the f*** up about that.
  13. Looks like Shane Lindsay is back in the organization.
  14. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jun 28, 2012 -> 08:16 PM) Hey look, Kevin Moran got an out... after allowing 4 runs. Send that kid home! ERA of 297.00
  15. Petition to change the Hawk "HE GONE" to "HELL YES"
  16. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 27, 2012 -> 05:35 PM) Wait, i dont understand. i thought Samardzija was an epic front of the rotation starter that you could build around? Samardzija's last five starts have been truly horrendous. Control is gone, WHIP over 2.0. Good thing he was untouchable!
  17. QUOTE (Cali @ Jun 27, 2012 -> 09:07 PM) BOOM! http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/NY...200006180.shtml I have no idea who the two guys who pitched after Parque are though and I remember that 2000 team pretty well haha. I remember Beirne. He had an incredible overhand curveball that he couldn't control. Vaguely remember Pena. That win probability chart is straight lulz.
  18. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Jun 27, 2012 -> 08:47 PM) SCREW THE YANKEES, WE SWEEP. I remember when he swept the Yankees in the Bronx in 2000. Gotta love that one game where we scored 17 runs, 12 in the first two innings.
  19. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 27, 2012 -> 08:32 PM) Somebody with Twitter ask Keon Barnum why he hasn't been playing... http://twitter.com/#!/keonb3 Done.
  20. Jesus Christ, Wilkins. 5-5 with 4 XBH and 5 RBIs. I think Wilkins raised his BA like 25 points tonight.
  21. If you want the best pitcher, it's far and away Heath. Best LHP would be Veal.
  22. Clearly don't need more fancy pants replay for baseball.
