  1. What the f*** is up with Uribe? Actually seeing pitches in the AB.
  2. Uribe lays off the pitch at his eyes. Wow.
  3. Hey, first pitch swinging from AJ once again. Dumbass.
  4. JD is a stud. Two more solo jacks and it's tied.
  5. And after he gives up three runs, he regains his form. He has no confidence whatsoever.
  6. Who the hell is the old negro leaguer talking for anyone watching the Detroit broadcast? The highlights are hysterical when it's him blathering on as the Sox score some runs.
  7. QUOTE (scenario @ Jul 26, 2008 -> 12:03 PM) A good example of where the averages probably mean squat. Look at what actually happened: (1) In 2005, after graduating from Michigan... practically went straight to low A-ball (hit 1 homerun in 214 at-bats) (2) In 2006, was promoted to AA Birmingham, skipping Winston-Salem (hit 2 homeruns in 508 at-bats) (3) In 2007, got hurt and missed half the season (hit 3 homeruns in 278 at-bats) (4) In 2008, has 9 of the 14 homeruns you mentioned in a little over a half season. (9 homeruns in 329 at-bats) Pushed ahead of schedule 2 years... hurt the next year... healthy this year. So, what is the appropriate basis for projection? You're once again ignoring his home/away splits. All of his home runs this year have been in Charlotte and he is slugging a pathetic .337 away from the bandbox in Charlotte. Everything about him screams utility player and nothing more.
  8. Look at Getz's splits, they're horrible.
  9. Ozzie is a goddamn moron. Jesus, you just put your WORST pitcher in a tie game with your division rival. f***ing CHRIST.
  10. Rotoworld still reporting that Masset will be starting Tuesday, which makes little sense.
  11. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 11:55 AM) He started last night. He throws a knuckleball, he could start on two days rest.
  12. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 11:36 AM) Mora said the Sox are leaning towards spot starting Carrasco? On short rest? He'd only have 3 days off, and Masset would only have two days off. That's pretty dumb when you have a knuckleballer available in AAA who has put up some very good numbers over the past three months.
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 08:47 AM) The problem with getting him is Bowden wants about as much for his players as Chuck LaMar used to want for his. Just offer Bowden a potential five-tool player and he'll bite. Lyndon Estill for Rauch straight up. Do ittttttttttttttttttttttttttttt.
  14. Poreda pitching for the Barons and he gave up a HR to Baldelli. Allen has hit another HR for the Barons.
  15. With Marmol s***ting the bed over the past two months, the Cubs have to be worried about their bullpen. They have Wood and...um.
