  1. He also had a hand in catcher development, which is especially interesting given it’s the Brewers.
  2. This is just so Soto will be able to take a break vs tough lefties.
  3. White Sox and Yankees have a combined 30 World Series. Pretty close!
  4. This would be my target from Boston, or De Paula and Hope from LA. i have an inkling they’d like to get a deal done before the December Winter Meetings.
  5. Seems like whether he should or shouldn’t be traded is an irrelevant point to argue. He’s going to be traded. The logical discussion is what for?
  6. Yeah that’s just it. They work. I think the teams that win year in and out have proven that. I don’t like the fact they work - I also preferred the game before they were around so much - but that doesn’t change the reality. So either keep up or get left behind.
  7. Not sure if mentioned already, but he’s a converted position player, hence why so old for his lack of pitching experience.
  8. KL can’t scout pitching for the life of him, but he’s usually good with hitting. I wonder what he saw with colson that left him so sour.
  9. There is some truth in here, but I think it’s exaggerated. Cairo is currently coaching with the Nats. Larussa won’t manage again bc he can’t. Ventura has no interest, and I suspect Coop doesn’t either. I also think Renteria could work again if he chose to. the only real, obvious guys that wanted to manage again and likely never will are Guillen and Grifol.
  10. Likely not a ton in the win column, but the right hire can make a tremendous difference on individuals breaking into the league.
  11. De Vries was a 17 y/o in A ball with a +.800 ops with plus speed and a good shot to stick at SS. Come on.
  12. It’s Detroit. They asked what’s 2+2 for 162 games. Hopefully they can crown a winner next year.
  13. Nerds say the darndests things. I saw the writing on the wall years ago with the nerds. They’re destroying sports. They aren’t content destroying the world.
  14. I haven’t watched a lot of Colson this year, but watching this game he looks fine to me with his basically everything, other than he’s lunging towards the plate a bit with his front foot. It’s enough to get beat on heaters and get jammed. just a one game observation.
