  1. You came here to say “Getz dumpster diving again!” or something along those lines. Admit it.
  2. Adisyn coffee has a better changeup than Thorpe? I find that hard to believe.
  3. I think the opposite. If they get Soto they’re going to want to upgrade pitching with limited money and one less open spot on the field for prospects to fill. If they don’t get Soto they can reallocate those funds to a Fried, Burnes, etc and plug LF internally.
  4. It achieves getting a player that could contribute to the next possible winning team, which is the whole point. But it doesn’t matter because I don’t see a scenario in which the Yankees would do this.
  5. Uhhh..what? The Braves just signed superstar Jose Devers. The Rays, Jays, Royals, Reds have all made similar deals in the past few days. You’re either being ignorant or disingenuous. nice thread though.
  6. Snell to LAD. hopefully that gets the ball rolling a bit.
  7. Anything with Bohm makes me wonder if he’d be packaged with Crochet to the Red Sox (who want to moved Devers to 1b) with the Sox sending Robert to Philly for some combination of prospects from both teams (mostly Boston).
  8. You’re right. 6th round and rounds so high they don’t exist anymore…same same. anyways, not worth a drawn out back and forth
  9. He also had a hand in catcher development, which is especially interesting given it’s the Brewers.
  10. This is just so Soto will be able to take a break vs tough lefties.
  11. White Sox and Yankees have a combined 30 World Series. Pretty close!
  12. This would be my target from Boston, or De Paula and Hope from LA. i have an inkling they’d like to get a deal done before the December Winter Meetings.
  13. Seems like whether he should or shouldn’t be traded is an irrelevant point to argue. He’s going to be traded. The logical discussion is what for?
  14. Yeah that’s just it. They work. I think the teams that win year in and out have proven that. I don’t like the fact they work - I also preferred the game before they were around so much - but that doesn’t change the reality. So either keep up or get left behind.
  15. Not sure if mentioned already, but he’s a converted position player, hence why so old for his lack of pitching experience.
  16. KL can’t scout pitching for the life of him, but he’s usually good with hitting. I wonder what he saw with colson that left him so sour.
  17. There is some truth in here, but I think it’s exaggerated. Cairo is currently coaching with the Nats. Larussa won’t manage again bc he can’t. Ventura has no interest, and I suspect Coop doesn’t either. I also think Renteria could work again if he chose to. the only real, obvious guys that wanted to manage again and likely never will are Guillen and Grifol.
  18. Likely not a ton in the win column, but the right hire can make a tremendous difference on individuals breaking into the league.
  19. De Vries was a 17 y/o in A ball with a +.800 ops with plus speed and a good shot to stick at SS. Come on.
  20. It’s Detroit. They asked what’s 2+2 for 162 games. Hopefully they can crown a winner next year.
