Nerds say the darndests things. I saw the writing on the wall years ago with the nerds. They’re destroying sports. They aren’t content destroying the world.

I haven’t watched a lot of Colson this year, but watching this game he looks fine to me with his basically everything, other than he’s lunging towards the plate a bit with his front foot. It’s enough to get beat on heaters and get jammed. just a one game observation.

Seeing as I don’t live in Chicago, most fans I meet aren’t Sox fans. A few will make jabs or laugh, but most are empathetic at this point. I found it more difficult to wear my Sox gear in 2005/2006 because everyone assumes you just jumped on the bandwagon, and suddenly you need to defend your fandom.

I think the hope is he becomes what Adam eaton was for is, which was plenty good without that type of power.

Fwiw fangraphs has the Sox rated 3rd and BA 8th. I believe both have Thorpe still rated, which is at least part of it.

This seems unnecessary and ironically a personal attack in itself. I enjoy Lip’s work. The interview is decent I think. As mentioned you have to toe certain lines if you want continued access.
