  1. wow... you are awesome Cheat!!!
  2. I agree with those, except I think Louisville has a few years to prove themselves in football. I'd add ND and Michigan on there. Michigan's bball is improving. ...and once Matt Painter takes over I have full faith he will bring Purdue back in bball in 2-3 years.
  3. Could someone make a sig for me w/the following pics of Stubblefield, Orton and the Train and the text "Full Steam Ahead"? http://graphics.fansonly.com/photos/school...100204/6-lg.jpg http://graphics.fansonly.com/photos/school...4/orton1-lg.jpg http://www.cs.purdue.edu/s3/projects/eclip...urdue_logo2.jpg any help would be very much appreciated!
  4. video if you missed it: http://www.ifilm.com/filmdetail?ifilmid=2652831
  5. and i've said it before, the guy's been money since the first day he put on the old gold and black he'll be the defensive leader the next two seasons
  6. can anyone confirm that they've seen/heard about this? the bears message board isn't even discussing it
  7. i'll hold off any Purdue/IU football comments
  8. Brees was the first pick of the second round in 2001.
  9. Brees is in the final year of his contract, so the idea that the Bears would trade him at the end of the season is out the window.
  10. he's having his best year yet (which isn't saying a ton), so maybe that's the plan
  11. We were talking about this on the Purdue football board, but I don't think anyone thought it'd go through so quickly. I take it they didn't say who the Bears would be giving up? Unless the Bears gave up too much, I'm happy
  12. I had a few hours between class wednesday and walked over to the open house for Paige and I was very impressed with the facility. It's first-class all around (the only way the Lauries would have it ) and when full it's going to be a very, very intimidating environment (based on the interior structure and the way sound was bouncing around with just a few people in there). The student section seems to be placed well also. The program may be weak right now, but the new arena is sold out all year and should make some difference. Oh, and when full Mackey is loud as hell. (full being the key word) At least Keady's on his way out.
  13. I saw that somewhere else, and still don't know what to say about it.
  14. Spinoff of the CD recommendation... I don't think there is a thread like this, forgive me if I missed it in my search. I need a break from my law books here and there and need some good stuff to read for fun. Anyone have any good recommendations? I'll start: Empire Falls by Richard Russo - I picked this up a year or so ago based on my dad's recommendation. They're actually making a mini-series out of this on HBO that comes out later this fall, but I recommend reading the book first. Great story about a man who runs the diner in town and his relationship with a diverse cast of characters in small town Maine. Very well written, especially the description of the town, Russo makes it very easy to picture.
  15. I don't know how much people here are into this type of music but I'm throughly enjoying Mos Def's new album, The New Danger. Great mix of tracks, including some good stuff with his band The Black Jack Johnson.
  16. This was one of the reasons I picked Purdue over U of I. A TON of people from my H.S. were going to U of I, and there were only 10 going to Purdue. (2 of which I actually kept in contact with for most of the 4 years).
  17. I liked Purdue a lot for 40000 reasons, the look of the campus not being one of them, you can tell it's an engineering school. I've always had a lot of fun in Bloomington and really like their campus.
  18. Either way the people posting are obviously excited about getting into their top choices, and the first thing you do is talk down the school. That's uncalled for. As much as I hate IU in sports, I would never discourge anyone from going there. Most of the time, it's what you make of your own college experience, that makes it great. It's sad how closed minded you are when it comes to any discussion remotely about KU. You have every right to support your school, but you go out of your way to make everything else look like the plague. and I apologize for missing your positive statement about Mizzou's J-School, I must have missed it amongst all the negativity.
