QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 03:32 PM) Interesting. Is it pretty seamless. I had two years of dropbox free and that was my favorite, but the two years is ending. I have since moved over to Amazon Photos which works nice (unlimited with prime) but the integration isn't as crisp as with dropbox, imo. All this said, I am two weeks into my new iphone (leaving the Samsung world) and holy hell am I happier. Unfortunately I see this happening more and more often. I've seen some pretty big Android fans migrate to Apple due to performance and security issues with Android including myself. It's really a shame because Android is a good OS now.

2015-16 NHL thread

Tough game to lose...You win some you lose some. We shouldn't have won yesterday and we should've won today. Seabrook saves us more than he makes mistakes like that. -
New Jon Jones interview is very good. It's long, but you definitely see him open up, not just a quick 5 minute interview he prepared a prewritten response for.

QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 22, 2015 -> 02:40 PM) Sounds like you hate any UFC fighter that's popular. Rousey whiffs on one punch and her form is awful. She got dominated like she has dominated. Plain and simple. To be fair, the UFC really pushes the faces of their sport way too much making it annoying for fans. From a marketing perspective it makes a lot of sense especially since the UFC is really trying to find fighters the transcend the UFC, but they overdo it because they have lost a lot of stars recently. Just watch Joe Rogan post fight interviews. There's a lot of people that don't like Ronda. McGregor too, but he's a different story.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Nov 15, 2015 -> 08:42 PM) She got destroyed, but she looked out of shape because she ate a few big punches and had two failed grapples which take a lot out of you. Rousey has said she doesn't need to get in shape because she's constantly training year round, so conditioning is not an issue. She got wayy too cocky (not even touching gloves before the fight), and tried to come out-boxing Holm. She very quickly got a taste of Holly's punching power, so she tried to go to her main strategy right away and get Holm on the ground and in the armbar. She got Holly down once which Holly was able to escape rather easily and Holly got her down. Rousey only go two good shots in and when she was trying to box, she showed horrible technique - kept her head in a straight line, no movement, kept the hands down and chin up. And Ronda's mom was definitely right about her trainer - he's horrific. After the first round, he told Ronda she was doing great and told her Holly is only trying to get her with the left. He should've told her, stop eating punches, move your head, and get in, tag her, get out. If you daze her, then get her to the ground for the armbar. Also looked like he tried to give her a kiss when she was on the ground and he was holding her. She needs new trainers, she should stop boxing and she needed this for her ego. Those two takedown attempts didn't take much out of her. Usually it's the clinching against the cage or if you actually go down to the ground together. She was just beat up. Her body language before round 2 was horrible. She got cocky because she bought in to her "invincibility" that UFC was pushing like a drug. She got what she deserved with her terrible sportsmanship she showed. Couldn't even give an interview after the fight. It was hilarious watching Dana trying to talk about the fight afterward. He couldn't be his usual "blatantly honest" self after that one. Ronda thinking that she could stand up against an established boxing champion was a horrible idea. Again buying in to her own hype. Those two takedown attempts were terrible. Holly saw them coming a mile away. Ronda was doing nothing to fake the takedowns to try to be unpredictable. Dana will really be s***ting his pants if McGregor gets whooped.

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Nov 8, 2015 -> 05:03 PM) I don't think anyone can be worse than Gillaspie (scratch that: Viciedo). If he has experience, I'd be willing to gamble on him at third for a year (after that, he can move into a 1B/DH role when LaRoche is gone). Sign someone to big bucks and play them out of position? No thanks. -
http://abc7.com/news/victim-ejected-onto-5...endale/1059279/ This driver lost control of his car and his body was ejected while the car was rolling. He ended up on top of the freeway sign. This is unbelievable. RIP

QUOTE (kevo880 @ Oct 26, 2015 -> 04:05 PM) What causes people to leave sites like these and never come back? I don't post often, but I have been on soxtalk almost everyday for the last 10 years or so. As a sox fan not in the Chicago area this is easily the best way for me to stay in touch with how other sox fans react to moves the team makes and how the season is going. I love the minor league aspect of the board as well. It's just very weird to me that some members that used to post daily just stop being a part of the message board completely. I'm in the same boat but post a little more than you. I typically post a couple times a week. Back when I first signed up, I was posting in game threads throughout the whole game and much more active on other topics. Just don't have the time for that now and sometimes the desire isn't there. There's already plenty of threads discussing the crappy results we get from the team, why post more complaints or "original ideas"? Edit: just saw that I joined in 2003... Man time flies. And I was lurking around without signing up to soxtalk for like a year before I registered.

White Sox peripherally make news for Cub Hating
Whitewashed in '05 replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Making money off Cubs hating? Sox would make plenty of money. Just look at the attention Sox fan pay to the Cubs. The Cubs thread in Diamond Club is the perfect example. Hell, the Cardinals vs. Cubs thread has more pages than the rest combined. -
Wow nice job derosa. Finally someone says it like it is. Not that they were both at fault crap tippy towing in the middle.

Who the f*** does Papelbon think he is? Does he really think he's demonstrating how to be a veteran? I agree with his reason for being upset, but that's the worse possible way to show it. There's no excuse for that. I hope he apologized not only to Harper, but to the entire clubhouse for that one. He needs to apologize to the fans as well.

Finally saw Unbroken. Thought it was good, but a little long. I know it went in to great detail on his experience as a PoW, but I think that still could've been done without going 2 hours.

White Sox Futility Under Williams/Hahn/Ventura
Whitewashed in '05 replied to Bananarchy's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The problem with doing a complete rebuild even if those three are fire are the replacements that Reinsdorf will hire. You think he'll bring in a completely new staff with no ties to the organization who have had success? No, he'll just promote people who have never been GMs or VPs and groom them on the job like the coaching staff. It's going to take a complete overhaul of the organizations philosophies to revamp it. Not new faces with the same philosophy that they learned from Kenny. Hell, he'd probably just promote Buddy Bell. -
