QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 11:41 AM) No matter how pathetic Anderson has been at the plate of late, his OBP is still 22 points higher than Uribe's. And again, which one is the rookie and which one has been in the league for 5 years? Why is BA the goat? Why does Uribe get the free pass, everyone?

QUOTE(Sox1422 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 11:36 AM) I don't think you realize how much BA's offense hurts this team. And it's a shame that you don't. He's hitting .083 with runners in scoring position and .095 with RISP and 2 out. With the bases loaded? He's .000 (0 for 6). I don't think you realize how much Pods, Mack, Ozuna, and Gload's defense would hurt this team in CF. This team is not going to live and die on the offense of the 9 place hitter, a rookie. When are you going to start calling for Uribe's head? He's the veteran, and he's just as bad.

QUOTE(Sox1422 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 11:34 AM) Where in anything that I have said did I write I want Mack, GLOAD???, or Ozuna to play center? It is obvious that Anderson is not ready to be a major league hitter. You can't have a guy in your lineup that hits worse than the National League average for pitchers. I wouldn't mind if he got a hit here and there and was able to hit the ball to the right side to move runners along, but he can't. KW needs to work his magic. Well that's exactly what will happen if you send BA down. No one is going to be available right now.

This is the official draft thread for day two of the MLB Draft. The draft resumes with rounds 19-50 beginning at 12 ET. Check out mlb.com for live video coverage or audio of the draft.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 11:26 AM) Obviously, that's not the answer either. That's what these people are asking for. There's no other plausible options outside of the organization. So for those so desperate to send BA down to AAA, that could very well be the only short-term and long-term option this season that's available. I don't think they realize that at all, and it's a shame that they don't.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 11:25 AM) Isn't that ex-Sox Chad Bradford? Yep, now with the Mets.

I just hope you guys are still happy when Mack, Pods, Gload, and Ozuna are playing CF.

Wow nice find. And to FutureSox!

That's exactly what I thought when he hit that too. Welcome to Chicago, Alex.

Surprise surprise.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 10:53 PM) By the way, this is exactly how to use BMac. He pitched a couple times last series, got 2 days off, pitched again today. He should never go more than 2 days without pitching. I don't know if you listen to the show or not, but that's exactly what Jas was saying here. BMac needs to pitch with more frequency to find a rhythm, and then you'll see a lot better stuff from him on a consistent basis.

HUGE WIN. -
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 10:41 PM) Mackowiak in LF? Uh oh. You know the ball will somehow find him. Mack's much more servicable in the corners of the OF. He's just not a CF.

Haha, I did notice the music breaks were a bit longer last week. Good point by Mario. This team never has looked that great this season, and the wins did come on talent. It’s frustrating to not see them click yet, now that we’re in June. I just had this stupid hunch that we were going to disappoint. Maybe you nailed it by dubbing us the Yanks, Jas. And I agree with what you stress on BA and BMac, Jas. Ozzie has not put BA or BMac in spots for them to succeed. BA’s scuffling at the plate, but he’s never going to get out of that funk if he’s sitting every other day. His offense is not what is going to cost us games; having a Mack or Pods in CF is what will cost us games. And good point by Mario, I seriously don’t understand how Uribe gets a free pass and BA has become our main and only goat when things go bad. And hopefully everyone heard that comment about the lame Philly/Sox rumor. It’s never going to happen, nor does it even make sense. Our bullpen is our biggest problem right now, and that’s really breaking a lot of games for us. I know our bullpen had some outstanding years last season, but what we’re having to use now is unacceptable. I see both sides of the Montero debate. I know KW has to be more pissed than any of us are about the state of the pen, and you know he’s working on that. But for the time being, there aren’t many other options. If we can ride a 2 week stretch with Montero pitching over his head, more power to us. However, it sucks that it ever got to that point, Montero should never be depended on. Nice point Mario on the timing of the Sox-Tigers series. The Sox could forget all the scuffles of the past couple weeks, if they take care of business against Detroit. They could build some huge MO, if they take the series. However, as Jason points out, it could get even worse, and the Tigers could get a bigger division lead. Great show guys. Good to have Mario back, and you guys were feisty this week.

QUOTE(whitesoxin @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 05:36 PM) Why is this unpinned? I think this is a great thread, I enjoy reading it. It's only temporary. There's a lot of stuff pinned right now. -
It's nice that we have the idea at hand now. It really hasn't gotten that out of control with rumors/speculation yet. But it's good to have that ready before stuff really starts getting active.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 09:49 AM) It was pretty cool to see 'The Riv' in a film. Where is 'The Skylark'??? I've never even heard of it. Just googled it. Here's what came up. http://chicago.citysearch.com/profile/38754618/

Have a good one! HB to Fourofakind too!

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 12:12 AM) Find one. There isn't one available for this version short of us designing one. I could always do that, but I think Greasy likes CSS more. As soon as Gage finishes his version of a skin, I'll work on mine. So I've got nothing to worry about.

QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 12:08 AM) Seems like they have different totals for the games on CSN & WGN, either that or they're just screwing with us. Right. I think they have 1 tally for CSN and another for WGN.
