  1. The Sox are able to salvage the series against the Twins, by picking up the final 2 games before heading to Tampa Bay. Freddy had a quality start, going 6.2, while giving up 3 ER, 3 Ks, and 1 BB. Cotts and Politte did a great job picking the game up. The bullpen's really shored up of late. Pods and Widge carried the offense today; no green necessary. Oh and I almost forgot, JOE.CREDE. I came across this tidbit earlier today on ChiSox.com: The White Sox have held the lead, at some point, in 183 of their last 217 games dating back to 2004, including 32 of 37 this season. Let's go to Tampa Bay, and win another series!
  2. QUOTE(rangercal @ May 15, 2006 -> 04:10 PM) thats fine... I do However, have the opinion that the city rivalry has never been more intense then last 10 years due to Interleague play. You see it where ever you go in Chicago; Comercials, advertisements, clothes, just listen to the audience BOO wars on Conan when ever anything baseball related was mentioned. Im sure sox fans living in the city the last 10 years can relate, because I sure can. It really is not a rivalry in a team sense but it is a fan rivalry. Im sure cuck would agree with me, its not the team itself we dislike, its the fans. I understand all that, there's certainly some of that on here. But when everyone is saying the same thing to Cuck, it's obvious he's doing it to a point that it's excessive.
  3. QUOTE(SnB @ May 15, 2006 -> 04:06 PM) is there such a thing as a manly giggle? if there is, crede knows how to do it.
  4. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ May 15, 2006 -> 03:45 PM) Just said something onthe radio that they held kangaroo court and someone got in trouble for throwing the triple play ball in the stands. Id love to know what they really do. Anybody have info on kangaroo court? I know Widge is the judge.
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 15, 2006 -> 03:28 PM) I love the nasty little fries you get at Steak N Shake. ^^^
  6. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 15, 2006 -> 03:22 PM) Chi Fil A = HORRID in my book. Maybe the ones in Cali are the only ones that suck though cause I know its huge down south and on the east coast. I don't like those either. I don't get the pickle on a chicken sandwich thing.
  7. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 15, 2006 -> 03:21 PM) bah you gotta go to sonic. I was in champaign this weekend and got steak and shake and sonic.nice Steak n Shake.
  8. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 15, 2006 -> 03:03 PM) the make your way to flattop grill, aka...the world's greatest restaurant. Haha, those are everywhere though. He needs some true Chicago-eatery.
  9. QUOTE(Steff @ May 15, 2006 -> 03:01 PM) He asked them to order it when they got there from spring training, so yes he could have thrown them under the bus. That professionalism is why he's so popular. I hope AJ keeps his yap shut about things that are none of his business... I just remember hearing/reading something this week that AJ was on the phone with Aaron, and Aaron told AJ that the padding was in some back room waiting to be put up. I found it: http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-baseball-print
  10. It seriously is a wonder what Hawk did before e-mail. "Here's a telegram from..."
  11. QUOTE(Steff @ May 15, 2006 -> 02:56 PM) Love how they tried to slip him up and blame the Phillies for him getting injured - by not putting up padding sooner. Aaron "it's part of the game..." Total class. From what AJ was saying, he certainly could have too.
  12. QUOTE(AbeFroman @ May 15, 2006 -> 02:55 PM) then you shall never have portillo's again
  13. I had Portillo's for the first time when I saw the Sox lose their lone playoff game last October.
  14. I should probably save the following words, for the several thousand times this appears in the future, but here goes: BA's developing a lot at the plate lately; he's improving a lot. He's starting to look a lot more comfortable at the plate, while still playing a fantastic CF. We're not going to trade for Torii.
  15. QUOTE(DePloderer @ May 15, 2006 -> 02:22 PM) I just noticed that I've never seen anybody in the crowd smoking. Is it banned in the ballparks or are baseball fans just healthy, clean living type people? I think some parks have areas where you can smoke, but it's banned in the stands.
