  1. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 10, 2006 -> 09:41 PM) Use it Brian.
  2. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 10, 2006 -> 09:33 PM) The first part of the atbat looked ugly. I guess we can just judge early returns on Haeger though. Brandon's exempt. Yep. SoxTalk would have been making Haeger his HOF plaque, if this went well. Well now everyone's pulling for Haeger's 2nd retirement.
  3. Captain Obvious and the King of Hindsight everybody.
  4. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 10, 2006 -> 09:29 PM) "Haeger, does he have a shot to STAY up?" Not with his complete lack of control. Excellent post.
  5. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 10, 2006 -> 09:24 PM) He's where I expected. Lots of people here have way to high expectations for big league debuts. I wonder who you may be talking about...
  6. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 10, 2006 -> 09:12 PM) Haeger served up 5 walks. He was going to get lit up sooner or later. Thanks.
  7. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 10, 2006 -> 09:05 PM) Don't forget about the complete lack of talent. Farmer sure has a lot of that...:rolly
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ May 10, 2006 -> 09:04 PM) It's not the chemistry that's the problem. It's Singleton's voice. Some people have an energetic voice, and others don't. Singelton's not the problem. Farmer's always been awful. No one noticed it because of Rooney.
  9. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 10, 2006 -> 08:58 PM) He's worthless. I'm actually thinking of donating to HeaveTheHawk.com. Do you have a site yet?
  10. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 10, 2006 -> 07:02 PM) Well, if Joe Crede batted in every spot, you know it wouldn't be in question. I can't disagree with that. He's the MVP right now, there's no question about it. There's no one else more valuable in the league.
  11. QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 10, 2006 -> 06:03 PM) Shocking Now you know why many of us get pissed at the constantly lineup juggling. Well, it certainly worked last year. I'm not saying Ozzie's right, but I believe there's a happy medium inbetween the two extremes. However, there's absolutely no way we'd be 32-0, if we started the Opening Day lineup every game.
  12. I'm on Mozilla, and got into the chat with no problem. It looks pretty sweet Jas.
  13. QUOTE(Walker2Baines @ May 10, 2006 -> 04:32 PM) What is wrong with the search feature? Why is it turned off? The upgrade's not fully complete. Once the server is fully updgraded, it should be back.
  14. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 10, 2006 -> 04:32 PM) Is he? Damn this s*** is tight Is it? Is it? Is it? This is the green you want.
  15. I picked an MP3 player up yesterday, and I'm absolutely loving it. Here's the one I bought: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1138086672392
  16. Good lord, I love this team. If it appears that he's not ready after tonight, it's not a big deal. However, if he is, we'll have an excellent problem on our hands.
  17. QUOTE(Benchwarmerjim @ May 10, 2006 -> 03:30 PM) Twins -Rangers tied at 1 in the bottom of 5 -- I have a Sox question... why, when Conteras went on the DL, didnt you slide over McCarthy to the rotation. I heard on the radio that you guys called up a knuckleballer Correct. I just think it's because McCarthy's been doing the every other day, bullpen appearances. It's got to be a whole different routine from what he's used to. I still see him possibly starting a couple times this season, but it seems they prefer to start the season with a role and maintain it. Here's something in today's Sun-Times about it: http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-spt-soxnt10.html
  18. Pods, LF Iguchi, 2B Thome, DH PK, 1B Dye, RF AJ, C Crede, 3B Uribe, SS Anderson, CF Haeger, SP
  19. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 10, 2006 -> 03:22 PM) That explains it. I thought it was messing up by telling me I hadn't read a topic that I actually had read. Also, is the search feature going to be back soon? I believe so. The server part of the upgrade hasn't been completed yet, and after that we'll be in tip-top shape to bring back the search. joe crede is clutch, and he likes to rally.
  20. AJ, no question. I'm not worried about the Widge, as he's simply our backup. However, I just feel more comfortable with AJ out there, and it's apparent the pitchers feel the same way. I want Haeger talking to Pierzynski, if he were to get in any jams. Plus the guy can hit this year.
  21. I'm pretty bummed this on WCIU, but I have a good feeling about tonight. Get 'em Chuck!
  22. Solid pics Alex. That last one of AJ's pretty cool.
  23. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 10, 2006 -> 11:46 AM) He did look a little slow in the field to my eyes. May have just been taking it easy his first time out. He said something to that effect: http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-spt-soxnt10.html
  24. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 10, 2006 -> 11:44 AM) He wont have a huge chance of breaking in our OF either. With Sweeney, Owens, Anderson probably filling the gaps. There was talk of moving him to 1st base, but with Paulie there long term, and Thome as our DH, theres also a log jam there. Who knows what we will do with this kid. It's certainly an excellent problem to have.
