  1. QUOTE(Felix @ May 6, 2006 -> 08:36 PM) Berroa scores, but the double play makes it worth it. Yep. We all wanted to see the no-hitter/perfect game or shutout. However, the win's what is important. All the pressure's off now.
  2. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 6, 2006 -> 08:32 PM) Did Podsednik misplay that ball? According to Farmer, he did. It was a shot off the bat, but he had a chance.

  5. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 6, 2006 -> 08:04 PM) I totally agree. I've got no issue with a plain white Hanes tshirt and some basketball shorts.
  6. 3-0 Sox on the sac fly by the #7 hitter.
  7. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 6, 2006 -> 07:49 PM) I said that our current 7-8-9 is weak, which is true. Stating a fact is not b****ing. Well when you tend to only state the negative "facts," it certainly isn't difficult to confuse the two.
  8. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 6, 2006 -> 07:45 PM) But it does show that our current 7-8-9 is weak, just like I stated. And as I said earlier, it's a double-edged sword. Either you're going to deal with that and have better defense. Or you're going to sacrifice the defense for a better offense. Either way we're going to have people like you b****.
  9. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 6, 2006 -> 07:44 PM) Yeah, he got his AVG up to .153 now. I didn't realize it was supposed to go up .200 points in an AB. Look how long it took Pods to get his BA where it is now, with the hot streak he's had.
  10. QUOTE(Felix @ May 6, 2006 -> 07:42 PM) Brian Anderson hits a homerun off of someone that isn't on Seattle! Nice hit That can't be!! He was a part of that 7-8-9 that sucks.
  11. QUOTE(Felix @ May 6, 2006 -> 07:04 PM) How many people actually did complain that Uribe wasn't in the lineup yesterday before the game? I thought I was the only one I don't know about before, but plenty people certainly complained in hindsight.
  12. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 6, 2006 -> 06:59 PM) Our 7-8-9 is pretty putrid -- Gload, Uribe, Anderson. I guess Sox fans are never happy. Complaining that Uribe and Anderson weren't in the lineup yesterday, and now there's complaining that they are in the lineup. :headshake
  13. Peja, Fred Jones, Scot Pollard and Eddie Gill are the Pacers' FAs. There's going to be a lot of change in Indy.
  14. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 6, 2006 -> 01:47 AM) Deng or Gordon + Lottery Pick for Garnett is quite insane. Indiana would probably offer Jermaine O' Neal and a young player like Danny Granger etc. And you'd have a lot of other teams making McHale an offer too. I can see about anybody on the roster being traded away except for Granger. He's definitely a part of our future.
  15. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 6, 2006 -> 01:16 AM) Its the f***ing royals, the worst team in baseball. We shouldnt be leading the season series 4-3 on a 20 loss team in the first week of may. I dont want to hear Hawk talking about how even though Runny Nose Hernandez is a crappy pitcher on a crappy team, tonight his s*** is crisp. We were able to get 2 runs on the great Santana, yet dogs*** pitchers like Earlton shut us down. We also need to get Dye healthy so we can stop with the 3 scrub lineup. Putting 3 or more backup players in the lineup is the cause for half of our losses. 1-5 with the 3 dog lineup. Memo to the Sox MAKE THE ROYALS EAT s*** We all know your constant harp is the offense. Dye's hurting, so it's a given he wasn't going to play. Uribe and BA aren't exactly the biggest offensive threats right now. So I'm really not seeing how the "3 scrub lineup" comes into play in your argument last night. Anyways, we need to get this win tonight so everyone gets back from the ledges.
  16. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 6, 2006 -> 12:41 AM) It was a 1-run loss that sure quacked like a duck. And we were up 2-1 going into the top of the 9th. I agree with you a lot, but I can't on this one.
  17. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ May 6, 2006 -> 12:19 AM) Assuming he does well. No. http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/story?id=1917633&page=1
  18. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 6, 2006 -> 12:23 AM) # of Subs Record 0 9-0 1 4-3 2 6-1 3 1-5 And you know that had nothing to do with anything tonight.
  19. Anyone watch the Cavs-Wizards game? The whole game was awesome and back and forth.
  20. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 5, 2006 -> 09:06 PM) Alex Gordon is pretty damn good. He was far and away the best college hitter available last draft And his rookie card is certainly worth something.
