Well Mike White officially signed his LOI today. http://iuhoosiers.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl.../041206aaa.html

I've never liked Farmer.

QUOTE(watchtower41 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 03:39 PM) not sure what youre expecting, I know his average is not there yet, but he has been driving the ball pretty well and has 7 rbis, he's done a decent job at the plate so far imo. His glove on the other hand, besides the "no call" error that Farmeo was mentioning today, has been spectacular. ^^^ Thome the God has 8 RBIs, and Crede has 7 at the bottom half of the lineup. I'm not sure what exactly you're expecting. I've been pleased with Crede, thus far.

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 03:44 PM) Should there be a question mark after Thome?

Good lord Jim Thome!

will get a hit first.

White Sox vs. Tigers 12:05 p.m. CT
greasywheels121 replied to HeGone33's topic in 2006 Season in Review
Get that runner in. -
He's made some GREAT plays this past week, but we're still only a week in. It's a long season, but if Crede maintains what he's done, he should be in consideration to win it. However, as discussed already, this award's political. I'd love to see RC get it though.

I don't know what the deal is lately, but whatever's going around needs to stop. Debate all you want, but the personal attacks need to stop. Some posts were split out for that reason.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 12:05 PM) You can also see how he's following through with his right arm and his right foot in the air over his right shoulder, it would be pretty tough to get your left foot into the air in that And his number's on his cleat, so if Steve was suggesting it was someone else, they're wearing his spikes too.

Golf Finally Has a Rivalry
greasywheels121 replied to Texsox's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 09:23 AM) When Tiger was focused completely on Golf, and nothing but Golf, Mickelson couldnt stand in the same room with him in terms of competition. Now that Tiger seems to have all these things going on in his life(his fathers declining health first and foremost, he got married, has his foundations, etc.), he isnt winning as much and Mickelson seems to be taking charge. It will be interesting in the next couple years to see what happens. How current are you talking? Because the one that seems like it'll really start affecting Tiger, is his father for obvious reasons. Things are not looking good for his father, and that's going to be very rough on him, being that his father's his best friend. However, the marriage and foundations don't seem to be hurting him at all. Tiger won 2 majors last year (Masters and British), giving him a total of 7 wins in 2005. He's already won 3 tournaments this year, and was much in the hunt for the Masters, if he could have putted on Sunday. Tiger's just still in another league compared to anyone else. -
Calipari to NC State...
greasywheels121 replied to Palehosefan's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 09:36 AM) Wow, basically Calipari chose NC State over Indiana.... how sad is that? He wanted hardcore upgrades in facilities, video theaters, practice courts, etc. ASAP. IU obviously needs to do that, but it can't/won't happen overnight. That's why he isn't here. -
Can we step back from the edge now?

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 09:48 AM) We've won ALL our games that started or ended on a Sunday or Monday. Me = I was trying to post some sarcasm anyways. I forgot a word. -
QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 11:48 AM) Vazquez, the lefty. How odd. You can see the glove at the bottom of the sig on the left hand.

Mick's still got a ways to go to be considered a true rival IMO. -

Haha... and on a related note, this gives Mike Davis a chance to just dominate Conference USA now. Good for NC State though. -
Sometimes it's not needed.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 11:12 PM) "I have the entire experience documented on film and will include a DVD copy of it with purchase of this one of a kind collectable. On the DVD you will see the gates open in front of me, I then am the first to get my ticket scanned, then you walk with me as I go to the concession stand, and then you see the entire hot dog transaction. I purchased two hot dogs (I ate the other)." Im sorry, this guy is awesome. It's all BS, but imagine this guy holding a hot dog for the entire game for this.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 10:52 PM) Actually he had an RBI double today in the 6th inning. Also, talking about past steroid user candidates, you gotta look at Ryan Klesko. And Chipper Jones is hurt, what a freaking surprise. You're quoting a post from yesterday.

QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 10:15 PM) Hey guys, first post on the forums! Anyways, I agree with the topic starter. These guys have an insane amount of character and chemistry, even with the additions and subtractions. I almost expected them to start off slowly, with all the celebrations and presentatiosn and this and that.. but now look at them. Three solid starts in a row, with two wins. Buehrle dominated, and Garcia and Vazquez looked great. Plus, we got McCarthy who looks like a gem! I see great things coming to this team! Go Sox! Welcome Tito!
