5 hours later, the inning is over. Frank's first AB in an Oakland jersey, in a minute.

I haven't had this game on for a second yet. Opening Day games > this NCAA Championship matchup

QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 10:53 PM) Does anyone know what that song is in the ESPN Video Montage? I've been wondering that too; I'm liking the song.

Sox vs. Indians: 4/4 Game Thread
greasywheels121 replied to Timoperezrulez's topic in 2006 Season in Review
Tomorrow caps off the festivities of the 2005 White Sox with them receiving rings. It'll be neat to see all the former players in the park tomorrow. It's a day game, so that rings well for Freddy. Let's get a W! -

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 08:26 PM) Maybe I heard wrong -- I hope I heard wrong -- but was it just me, or did the Crowd boo Boone Logan, Tadahito Iguchi and Don f***ing Cooper during the Opening Ceremonies? Or were they chanting, "Boooooone" "Cooooooope" and "Goooooooooch" and it just sounded like boos? Haha. The latter. -
Nite's writing for the White Sox now. http://whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/ar...t=.jsp&c_id=cws

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 07:10 PM) Why was Bush at the Cubs game today? He wanted to meet the team before he left office, and he didn't think they'd ever make it to the White House before his term was up. So this was the next best option.

QUOTE(Cali @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 05:43 PM) Perhaps I missed something previously talked about here, but I thought that Paulie wasn't just a captain in name, I though he was actually gonna get a "C" on his jersey? Is he just a captain in name, or did I miss something? Good point. I forgot about that, but I'm glad he's not wearing it. His team-leading abilities shouldn't be hindered by the absence of the C.

Edited my previous post. I didn't realize I could upload a link on ImageShack. There were a bunch of pics of Thome last night, and there's a few of the HR shots earlier in this thread.

QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 04:33 PM) Nope. He hit the ball hard to center in his second AB, but right to Edmonds. Willie.. is your sig for serious? I mean, come on.. the season just started. He had it all last year. Chillax.

Heh, pretty much.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 04:09 PM) Well then he's off to a s*** start, now isn't he? You still need to fix the year in your sig.

QUOTE(WinningUgly85 @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 03:14 PM) Rowand will be there now all we can wonder is if the BIG HURT will show up. Do the A's play on Tuesday? Yes, a home game against NY.

Flag Raising for those who missed it

I checked out the first one; very cool. Thanks for sharing. And the link for your second isn't working. -
This was a good one. The time span of the show was perfect. And you nailed a lot of my opinions of the season starting; it's definitely good to end a lot of the doubts with the games counting for real. And let us know when that autobiography comes out.

QUOTE(gettysburg32 @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 02:01 PM) I didn't really enjoy staying up until past 2 am (east coast) and then having to get my ass out of bed around 7:15 to get to class and then work, but... I love watching Sox games after a long rain delay. Sox fans seem to be the only ones who can have 38,000 people, or 8,000 people, in the stands, and the stadium atmosphere is still jacked. (Of course it helps being the night they raised the World Series banner) But, it's been that way in years past anyway, and it was a great game last night. I Second LV, great job to the Sox fans at the Cell last night! Ha yeah, one of my favorite games was a loss. The game after the ASB against Detroit in '03. We had a nice comeback towards the end to get within a run, but the crowd was awesome.
