  2. The good news is we don't have to hear Dick Vitale and Mike Patrick together until the fall.
  3. QUOTE(earthshiner @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 02:42 PM) anyone notice that ozuna did not have a number on the front of the jersey yet Borchard and Gload do? Maybe a hidden meaning. I dunno. Nah, Carl didn't have a number last year.
  4. Good luck Edge. He got the money we couldn't give him. I liked him a lot, and really wished there was a way to been able bring him back, but it just wasn't feasible. Obviously Peyton's the center of this offense, but I think we need the RB to get somewhere. But then again, we never got it done with him. Hopefully the Colts can find a solid replacement again. Last time this was done, we let Faulk go to the Rams, and we didn't miss a beat with Edge.
  5. And I hope BC just keeps crushing Vitale and Patrick. 67-64 BC, 4:00 left.
  6. Wow, this SEC game ended exactly like the the IU-tOSU game. SC had the shot, but Florida hangs on 49-47.
  7. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 01:40 PM) Tonight is the night............ Selection Sunday!
  8. I know it's kind of out of the blue, but I don't think Michigan has any chance at the tournament now. With the way the weekend has played out across the nation and Michigan's play down the stretch, I just don't see them getting in. I wish it weren't the case though; I love seeing the Big Ten repped well in the tournament.
  9. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 03:17 AM) An interesting tidbit, might not mean anything but you never know: George Mason's AD is on the selection committee, who right now sits squarely on the bubble. Some say it certainly helped Northern Iowa last year.
  10. SD State Aztecs beat Wyoming 69-64 in the Mountain West Championship for a ticket to the tournament.
  11. 'Cuse on top of Pitt in the first half, 34-25, in the Big East Tourney Championship.
  12. Just hurts to lose like that. It shoots down some of that momentum we've been riding the past couple weeks. I feel we can possibly have moved ourselves into a 7 seed. We'll see; I'd just love to get out of that 8-9 matchup Bracketology has us in at the moment. However, none of that may matter without Vaden. Has anyone heard anything on his status? EDIT: Today's Bracketology did move us up to a 7 seed.
  13. Supposedly St. Joe's is going to get one more shot, but Xavier looks to have this locked up with the late 2 at the free throw line. They put up 1.3 back on the clock, and Xavier blocks the shot to win the A10.
  14. Heartbreaking loss. And you won't get me to ever say Wilmont choked. Without him, it's not even a game. He made so many plays on both sides of the court today. Killingsworth looked foolish against Dials today; he couldn't get anything to fall around the paint. He didn't look he did last time these two teams matched up, granted DJ played a half of that game. Maybe we've just caught tOSU on 2 bad days, but I'm a bit skeptical now of how far they'll go this year. They're really a mirror image of us, and live and die by the three with a big man inside to get things going. With that being said though, I'm pulling for them tomorrow. I don't want there to be any more reason for them to hire Alford right now.
  15. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 03:39 PM) I agree. Although I just think they should do the conference tourney a day or two earlier. Agreed. I like the tourney, but I'd like to see it come into play into the seedings more than it does now.
  16. QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 09:55 AM) GO BUCKS!!! So glad we get to play Indiana and get a chance to redeem our lose early in the year. Should be fun. Both teams are riding high with winning streaks going into the game, much like last time. We both play a real similar game, getting our big men going and that opens up the treys. It'll be interesting to see who can establish himself first in this game between Marco and Dials. And though we're wearing the away jerseys, we've definitely got our share of support in the arena.
  17. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 07:39 AM) I sid it then and I'll say it again now. Getting read of that Genital Pimples specialty subforum was one of the smartest things Jason ever did with the site.
  18. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 10, 2006 -> 08:58 PM) Even if it turns out to be Alford? Rex has said he wouldn't totally be against Alford. If Alford is the coach, I won't be too extatic, but I'll certainly support him. And I do believe, because of the circumstances, Alford could do a good job here, with his connections to the state, etc. However, I still feel we can do better.
  19. Lavin on breaking it down w/ the JV ESPN+ guys right now, lol.
  20. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 10, 2006 -> 08:19 PM) I have 1 thing to say...LET THE BIDDING WAR BEGIN!!! Did they ever build that new general science building? Who wants to add that onto Cuban's offer to get their coach hired?!?! And didn't Cuban say he'd never give IU another penny after the Napster thing? Flip-flopper!!! Interesting stuff Aboz. It's real close to being finished. It'll be done in time for the fall, IIRC.
