Not sure how this is a make or break, being that nobody wins on the road in this conference. I don't think anyone would expect us to win this, and I don't. However, we could definitely look better than we have recently, now that we have closure to Davis' situation. We'll see. I won't be around here for the game; IU's allowing us to watch the game in our AH on the new scoreboard. And I don't think many will be there, with where our season is now. I don't have a problem with that though, it'll be nice.

Good find. It would be really interesting to see what that would do to the Big Ten, if he got back in the conference after all that. I would not have any problem accepting as our coach, looking at his history at previous places. However, being that he just got into a new deal with Tenn., I have a hard time seeing him leave. We'll see though, there'll be a million names thought of as candidates before this thing is over.

I still think you're underrating what kind of job IU is. It's still really high up there with history, prestige, etc. We're not there currently, but it can be argued that the perception exists that it is. And if we get the kind of coach we have the ability to pick up during this time, they could keep DJ and Vaden from transferring.

See, think about this. Alford would not even be close to a candidate, if he wasn't an IU alumi. That's really all I see he has going for him. He wouldn't be someone we'd be looking at otherwise; that's why I can't get excited about him.
