SI listed their annual Magic Eight list, with who they think are the 8 teams in basketball that could win it all. I was shocked, but they put Indiana on the list. I don't see that happening sans DJ. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writ...wahl/index.html -
I remember him having to get stuff ready for this around the ASB; that's why he wouldn't have been a coach, if asked.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 11:52 PM) BTW, several people have called the score saying the whole thing was started by AD's wife, for whatever that's worth. That shouldn't change the opinions at all. That wouldn't give AD less reason to go into the stands to protect his wife.

Huge win for Ohio State and the rest of the Big Ten's chances at winning the conference. OSU wins at home 77-67. Pitt ends up victorious and remains undefeated by beating Rutgers 76-68 on the road. Memphis comes back in the second half and beats Tennessee 88-79. -

65-61 OSU, 5:42 to go. Wiscy's has a little run going to get back into this. -

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 09:08 PM) Hell, I'm buying into the Wiscy possibly being the best team in the big 10 and they get zero love in the polls. It's because other than NC State and Pitt, they played NOBODY in the non-conference. They're continuing that brutal non-conference schedule with a game with North Dakota State on Saturday. -

Duke's going to come away with this one, NC State can't buy a bucket at the close of this game. Final score 81-68. Florida won 113-62. Rutgers is up 38-37 at the half on Pitt. Memphis down at home to Tenn. 45-41 at the half. -

Yuck. Wiscy on an 8-0 run ties it back up at 15-15, w/ 12 minutes to go in the first half. Come on OSU! -
She's a bad picture taker or something. I hate the few pics I do see in Google, except that blurry one where she's waving.

Hopefully. Flordia definitely will stay undefeated; they're up 57-23 at the half against Savannah State. Pitt has a test, going to Rutgers. They've been pretty good this year; I'm kind of bummed that one's not on ESPN. -
Erin Andrews. Sideline reporter for college football and basketball on ESPN. She's ungodly hot, but she doesn't have many pictures online at the moment. This is the best one available.

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 07:33 PM) anytime I have friends over and I'm playing music, I figure as long as I hand out to my friends playlists with author, artist, song title, year of publication, and publisher...all in MLA format, I don't sweat it. I mean, it works for research papers with books, magazines, web sites, and other publications, why can't it work for music? because that industry is money hungry? oh ok. Nice.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 06:31 PM) You know, I always love watching the rounds of 64 and 32 in the years when the Big Ten is actually good...the Big Ten teams are always so good that they beat the living hell out of each other and all wind up ranked lower than they should be, and then they come out and start stomping people. I just hope IU doesn't wind up as a 5 seed this year. Bracketology has us as a #4 before last night. And I know #5 is a prime upset seed, but FWIW, IU was a #5 in 2002. So it's not an impossible spot. -

I think Reggie Wayne has been mentioned in this thread somewhere. Polian is saying Wayne will be back one way or the other. I'm thinking we'll franchise tag him. However, other quotes kind of sound like we're going in another direction at RB. We'll see. -
Have a good one!

Eh, it's almost all the same in my book. Here's a pic my friend already has up of what it looked like. Not everyone got into the action. The only way I can defend it is that the game wasn't a blowout. If the game continued the way it did with us up 15, I don't think anyone rushes. The game got unexpectedly close and intense at the end, and I think that's what caused it. -

Definitely a game of runs. We always start slow, but that was just ugly. It looked like you guys were just going to rout us in our own building. Then, we started to hit the trey ball. Wilmont was definitely huge, and he was able to get us up to that 15 point lead. And Killingsworth finally got things working in the 2nd half. Yes, he's had some cheap shots the past couple games. I acknowledge that, but they haven't affected the outcome of the game. The best thing IU did tonight was rebound though. If they can do that against a bigger Illinois, there's no reason we shouldn't be doing that every night. We've been getting out rebounded badly all season. It was nice to see us finally limit second chance points, and have some second chance opportunities of our own. We needed this though, if we're going to do anything in the Big Ten. You have to protect home court, and we survived. And for the record, I did NOT rush the court, though I had a great seat and could have. -
heart attack after fumble

QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Jan 17, 2006 -> 05:14 PM) I've never been physically sick after a game, just emotionally drained/crushed. I can understand that causing a heart attack though, my heart stopped for a second after the fumble as I was in disbelief. I've definitely been emotionally drained/crushed; however, a heart attack is insane. It reminds me of that one story about some Cub fan having to go to the hospital after the Sox success in October. -

That game breakdown has Monroe starting. Though he's started the majority of the games this year, the school paper is saying that Earl Calloway is starting at the point tonight. He's got speed to hang with Dee.
