That dude straight up CHOKED. He better hope Mizz doesn't keep riding this momentum. -
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 16, 2006 -> 07:26 PM) Got all 3 and they are all worth owning. I'd get all of them if you can for collectibles. If you have to pick one, go with the Tribune book. Agreed about getting them all. I don't think it'll take another 88 years to see the Sox win the WS again, but you never know. Might as well not regret it. My favorite was the Sporting News one though. The Sun-Times was probably my least favorite.

Only at college. At home, the only electric appliance plugged into an outlet in my room at home is the alarm clock.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 16, 2006 -> 05:17 PM) At least that bad call didn't change the outcome of the game. Had it done so that would have tainted anything Peyton had been able to accomplish going forward............which would have been getting stomped on by Denver. Which is all hypothetical; however, Indy would have loved to play Denver. Indy beat Denver 41-10 in the '04 playoffs, and 49-24 in the '05 playoffs.

I'm just talking about the season as a whole. Sure, IU can make the tourney this year. That doesn't excite me too much. I thought we had the potential to win it all with DJ in this lineup. CBS was saying the same thing. http://cbs.sportsline.com/collegebasketball/story/9156741 -

Meh, losing DJ did a number on my hopes for the '05-06 season. It'll be a decent game though. -

Ha, you know if conversation ever picks up on this, it's going to get hairy. I am just a month and a half out of your proposed age bracket, but I disagree with what you said. Those teenagers actions are far from representative of all teens in America. I won't be saying anymore in this thread; I try to steer away from this kind of stuff. The closest I want to get to controversy on a message board is who should get the final spot on the Sox 25 man. Enjoy. -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 16, 2006 -> 12:25 AM) One day, it will be THE year. Look at the 2005 White Sox, for example. Hopefully, because this is getting tired. As my friend said after today: "Don't get addicted/attatched to a sport team. Because every time they lose, a little part of you dies." So true, but I foolishly, I will never heed that advice.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 16, 2006 -> 12:22 AM) Man it's starting to set in. Football season is over... This b**** is gonna sting for a good 2 months. You don't think you will, but you'll have forgotten all about it by the start of next season. And you'll foolishly believe maybe THIS is the year. I'm getting good at this.

I'm just dying to see how many more times Jabroni can say Peyton Manning sucks in this post he's been working on for about an hour. This thing's been driven into the ground. We get it. Peyton Manning sucks. You all hate him. Move on people. -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 16, 2006 -> 12:08 AM) Mack Brown is STILL an awful coach. My mother, who doesn't know s*** about football, could have won the national title with that team, mainly Vince Young at QB. Manning is going to make the hall of fame one day, and is a great QB. But he simply chokes in the playoffs, the facts can't be overlooked. He will be a great player regardless of what he does in the playoffs the rest of his career, but until he wins the Super Bowl, he will always be looked at as a choker in the big game, because that's what he's proven to be going back to college. It was in green for a reason, but that's exactly what the media does. I know it's just the way it goes, but Peyton didn't lose this game on his own. Whatever though, I will be pissed off for a couple more weeks about this game. Time will pass, and I will forget about this awful feeling once the season starts. I like being teased. -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 16, 2006 -> 12:04 AM) What part of that article isn't accurate? It's true, Manning is a great QB......until it really matters. So people will suddenly dub him a great QB, if he wins the Super Bowl? Mack Brown was an awful coach before the night of January 4th, and now he's a great coach. -

Last I checked, that kind of QB rating is respectable. Do you honestly want to put stock into that? Numbers mean nothing. Because according the 40 pages before this thread, Peyton lost the game. We now continue with our regularly scheduled Peyton bashing. :rolly -
