  1. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 03:47 PM) I don't think you can discount it at all. It was 1st team vs 1st team. Record's mean nothing in pre-season, in any sport at that. And you also can't say "Well, their offense wasn't in gear." They didnt get any less practice or game-time than any other team. If you compare situations, then the Colts were "rusty" in the pre-season and you could onyl expect them to be "rusty" in the post-season after they havent played a real game in 3, soon to be 4, weeks. I don't think you can discount any head-to-head meetings. Do you put stock into spring training games too? It's not any different.
  2. I just still wouldn't put too much stock in it. The same almost goes for the regular season, with the position Indy's been in the past few years. Yes, we beat NE pretty convincingly this regular season, but I'm still not very comfortable in another potential matchup with them. These games are the ones that really matter.
  3. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 09:43 AM) Thats my point, right now the Bears would win. If the Colts get sharp, they can't be beat, but if they are rusty like they are now, and the Bears D pressures Manning like SD and JAX did, then it is a new game. You were also putting stock into a meaningless, preseason game (kind of redundant). If you put stock into preseason, the Colts would have the first pick in the NFL draft.
  4. Why did Chuck Norris suddenly become holy this year?
  5. Indy's starting offense hasn't even played a quarter's worth of football since the Chargers game. Of course they're not going to look as good as they did earlier in the year.
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 01:52 AM) I've been to The Big House and The Horseshoe, and it's so much louder in Columbus it's not even close. The Michigan fans don't even pay attention until it's the 2nd half and the game is close. Haha I know, I just had to get on WSJ's case.
  7. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 01:23 AM) probably because the noise escapes the Rose Bowl easily. And cuz he never played at Michigan.
  8. Young's not saying he's going or staying at the post-game AKA he gone.
  9. If Young goes in to the draft, do you think he could go #1?
  10. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 12:30 AM) Leinhart said his team is still better than Texas, Texas just made better plays. He said something like that. He's also a dick.
  11. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 12:29 AM) Say it all with me... USC= OVERRATED.. But they beat every college football team EVARR, according to ESPN's 3 month special.
  12. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 12:25 AM) Young still staying after this game? Doubt it. Same, but he claims to not like any of the teams that could draft him. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2280007
  13. Vince Young. This game lived up to all the hype, no question about it. Texas = National Champs.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 11:59 PM) People should have learned from the past few years that nothing KW says should be taken as "the whole truth". I already said that.
  15. He'll only get it if they win, but Vince Young should get player of the game regardless of the outcome.
  16. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 11:25 PM) So you're saying there's a chance. Who knows if he's being honest or not. You can't really trust what GMs say in the paper. However, I love what Kenny's saying. I was saying the same thing in one of these 50 Tejada threads.
  17. ND made #20 Pitt beat them in 2OT, 100-97. Chris Quinn had an insane game. 37 points (6/9 from three), 7 assists, and a couple steals.

  19. QUOTE(sec159row2 @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 10:23 PM) are the porterhouses still $15.95? zagreb is the only place i'll order a porterhouse ... it is a fantastic cut of meat... That sounds about right. IIRC, most stuff was in that price range.
  20. QUOTE(sec159row2 @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 10:19 PM) Is "little Zagreb" still in Bloomington Indiana???? or totally off the beaten path... Gino's in harvey... it is east of halsted at about 161st... although i guess bloomington IN is also off a beaten path Yep! I ate there last year when my parents came down. That place was packed, and I can see why.
  21. QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 10:13 PM) Anyone know what the line on this game was? I saw USC by 7.
  22. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 09:09 PM) It was sarcasm on top of sarcasm on top of sarcasm. Like meat on top of meat on top of meat! Love that guy.
  23. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 08:37 PM) Colts, even with Urlacher, we can't keep Indy to less than 20. And we can't score more than 20 versus Indy's D. Thus, Indy beats us. That's the thing. Yes, Chicago's D > Indy's D. However, the Bears offense would make Indy's look Chicago-esque. I'd say the defenses would push. And reading the Bears game threads all year, I don't think anyone would disagree with the Colts having a better offense.
