  1. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2278077 Brees has a torn-labrum and will not be able to throw for four months. I wonder if this spells the end for him in San Diego.
  2. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 2, 2006 -> 04:35 PM) Basically over now. Big win for Texas, like I said before this is the worst I've seen Memphis play all year. Yep. Texas gets some huge MO going into conference play. 69-58 final score.
  3. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 2, 2006 -> 04:26 PM) Cats rock. rocks > cats

  5. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Jan 2, 2006 -> 03:25 PM) How about just not having Sun Belt and Conference USA officials calling games if neither a Conference USA team or a Sun Belt team is in it. And if they had a Big 10 of Big 12 official doing your game, someone would be b****ing about favortism. The same goes if there were SEC or Big 10 officials doing today's game.
  6. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 2, 2006 -> 02:44 PM) Young has said repeatedly that he's planning on staying next year. Who knows how wednesday will change that, but Young's words have all said he's staying. That's what I thought too. I could see that changing if they beat USC; however, I was hearing the same thing. That's why I was confused to see Vince Young high up in these draft "predictions".

  8. Is Vince Young going to turn pro regardless of what happens Wednesday? Linehart obviously wasn't going to get any higher than he was last year. I don't think anyone could top Young, if he were to hold out.
  9. QUOTE(Spiff @ Jan 2, 2006 -> 12:28 PM) Their pass defense is better, their run defense is about the same statistically. Looking at the numbers, NE didn't have much of a run offense to speak of. That could be a moot point, if they were to meet again.
  10. Rain, warm weather >>>>>>>>>>>>> snow, cold weather I hope we've seen the worse of winter already. Worse season of the year.
  11. QUOTE(Spiff @ Jan 2, 2006 -> 11:17 AM) We'll see what happens. They might not even play the Colts. But there's no reason for a Colts fan to be arrogant about playing the Pats, because New England has won in Indy before and they've won the AFC Championship on the road before. You know as well as I do that this Colts team is a lot better than any of those past Colts teams though. There finally is a defense.
  12. QUOTE(Spiff @ Jan 2, 2006 -> 08:28 AM) Fairweather Colts fan getting arrogant after one win over a depleted Pats team. We've definitely had our share of Brady-Manning debates. You guys are definitely peaking at the right time. I hope you guys beat Jax and we have to play you. I'm very happy that we finally beat you guys in NE, albeit you guys weren't up to strength. If we're going to finally do this, I want to see them do it against the best. I guess it's kind of like when the Sox had to face the defending champs to go anywhere in the playoffs.
  13. Yes, we should never be talking about a goal-line stand against Arizona. However, the Colts weren't playing ANYBODY today. AWESOME ending to that game. The Colts won 17-13, after forcing a fumble on the .1 yard line with 19 seconds left in the game. The refs orignally ruled it a TD, and it would've gave the Cards the win. The Colts challenged, and it was obvious that the ball never got across the plain when it was in his hands. 14-2 regular season for Indy, best record in franchise history. Now it's time to get ready for the real games.
  14. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 1, 2006 -> 04:11 AM) Bron is absolutely fantastic but he isnt and will never be close to MJ. I still think it's too early to dismiss his career altogether. Bron JUST turned 21. MJ took 5 or 6 seasons before he won his first championship, Bron at least deserves that much time.
  15. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Dec 31, 2005 -> 04:47 PM) No doubt. Kobe got his ass kicked by Reggie Miller. Artest would own him. Man, I miss Reggie. The Pacers are showing it too, with how inconsistent we are this year.
  16. QUOTE(ilsox7 @ Dec 31, 2005 -> 07:54 PM) Good to see the Hoosiers kick some ass tonight. Up 25 as of now. Marco was in foul trouble all night and only scored 7, but the three pointers were dropping. Overall, a good, solid pre-conference run. Only bad loss was to Indiana State. Gave Duke a run for their money without DJ. And pretty much killed everyone else, including Kentucky. Much better than last year, that's for sure. Indiana's offense is just looking great (leading the nation in Field-Goal Shooting and 3-Point Shooting percentage), and the defense has been on since the Kentucky game. IU closes out the non-conference w/ an 80-56 road win over Ball State to put the record at 8-2. Our first conference game is against Michigan in Bloomington on the 3rd.
  17. QUOTE(SnB @ Dec 31, 2005 -> 03:19 PM) I Think IU is better than most think and are going to be in the thick of things right down until the wire. With White coming back, they are one solid team, especially if Marco continues his ridiculous play. The kiss of death.
  18. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Dec 31, 2005 -> 01:16 PM) clark kellogg likes the hoosiers in the big ten Haha perfect, an article finally comes out days before conference play. You know as well as I do that every publication at the beginning of the CBB season had Illinois>Indiana. EDIT: And he can't like IU tooo much, because he harped on our mistakes twice.
  19. QUOTE(qwerty @ Dec 31, 2005 -> 11:47 AM) I would have to say the lakers made the right choice. Shaq has done s*** the last 2-3 years while being one of the highest paid players in the game. Kobe at least plays and plays damn good even if he looks like an idiot with his spandex. I think the Lakers would at least be in the playoffs with Shaq.
