  1. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 18, 2005 -> 10:43 PM) Ha, you havent been in enough sox game threads then. STFU! Damn man, all you do is ruin stuff.
  2. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 18, 2005 -> 08:19 PM) You know what? I don't think we'll see an undefeated team in football until there's a season where the best team goes undefeated for the first 10 games or so but then has a team breathing right down its neck for homefield advantage. If you had a 1 loss Denver team right now, I just feel like the Colts would have shown up far more in the first half. The Colts had no pressure on them today, and they played like it. I bet you there were a few people on that offensive line who were more focused on trying to avoid being hurt than they were on stopping Merriman. Without someone breathing down their neck, there's just no reason for a team to push themselves so hard and stay focused on winning every single game. We've seen it enough times where just a little bit of missing focus (New England versus Miami last year anyone?) lets a very bad team beat a very good team just because the good team was either looking into the future or didn't have much to play for. The Colts just got caught with exactly that today. It's going to take a 14-2 or a 15-1 team in the same conference for a team to go 16-0. Maybe 13-3 if some of those losses come late in the season & the undefeated team has an easy schedule those weeks. I was thinking that a bit. I hate excuses. However, the commentators were saying the same thing in the first half. The Colts were playing stupid football, but they looked like a team that was playing stupid ball because they were playing for nothing. Pop the champagne '72 Dolphins; we're all dying to see it.
  3. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Dec 18, 2005 -> 06:02 PM) They get payed to play....so play 'em. Your answer is WAY late; this poll was about when the Colts were undefeated and the debate was to play and go for history or rest. Anyways... They get paid to play, to win the Super Bowl. They have NO absolute reason to risk injury or anything now. They need to do whatever gets them in the best position to win in the Super Bowl.
  4. Well the Sox almost have this one wrapped up. Good job setting the tempo in game 1. They just need to come out with the same intensity tomorrow night.
  5. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Dec 18, 2005 -> 04:37 PM) why isnt Carlos Rogers starting for the Redskins? Not sure the details, but ESPN has him out w/ an injury. Carlos Rogers, CB Dec. 18 - OUT http://sports-att.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=was#
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 18, 2005 -> 04:22 PM) Sorry to any Colts fans here btw, it's just the Burner is the man. *Puts on Burner for Heisman T Shirt and Burner jerseys* Oh, and this means nothing for the Colts. It's about the rings, and yes the Colts will rest everybody next week now, don't want to show their potential Super Bowl opponents anything. I'm totally fine with it. I never got too caught up in the hype. I laughed when the sport shows were saying the Colts had more on the line today than the Chargers did during the week. Some reason I never thought we could get both. I thought we'd go 16-0 and CHOKE in the playoffs. Or we have the chance to get the Super Bowl. I never felt that we could do it all.
  7. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Dec 18, 2005 -> 04:20 PM) So do the Colts sit some of there starters next week? Playoffs in fantasy start, and im going against a guy with Peyton as QB... They'll still play, but they won't be playing past the half, I'd imagine. They don't have any reason at all to risk injury now. However, it's still too early to rest people for entire games.
  8. I was telling people I was getting nervous that it could happen this week. But you know what? Oh f***ing well. If you've looked at my posts, I wasn't all that excited about the undefeated season. I want the Super Bowl; hopefully people can stop talking about all that other stuff now.
  9. Wow. Now Artest's agent is claiming Ron still wants to be a Pacer. Why the f*** did you say what you did then? http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2263787
  10. Just saw the SoxPride DVD on CSN for the first time tonight. Very solid. I feel the 2 DVDs compliment each other well.
  11. Only got to see the last 10 minutes of the game, but you could just see the tempo of the game turning tOSU's way. It really turned into a B10-paced game. Rough game Alex, still a decent performance in the spotlight. It'd be cool to see you guys on more than you are.
  12. QUOTE(Pierzynski 12 @ Dec 17, 2005 -> 02:43 PM) Read the damn article.I doubt you even read it. EDIT: Found it. It was easier to read on the site.
  13. The Pacers will never win any deal involving Artest in the regular season. I'd like you to try to give me a listed rumor in where they will. It's impossible with the timing Artest threw this bomb, and that's why he's a d-bag. And Artest is simply not going to work in Indiana anymore, after what he did. He f***ed us last year, and he's doing it again.
  14. I haven't seen any Robbie Alomar jokes. I guess I don't pay attention enough.
  15. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Dec 16, 2005 -> 12:34 PM) I sit here and wonder why the f*** you would sign with the Royals Ummm....f***in' duh.
  16. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Dec 16, 2005 -> 11:30 AM) Dont forget to bring Skeeter! *HONK HONK*
  17. Forget tickets, I'm going to the Honkerburger. After that, I'm going to catch some nematoads and go to the Beets concert.
  18. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Dec 16, 2005 -> 11:24 AM) ..for im guessing bullpen help.....??? Damaso?
  19. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 16, 2005 -> 11:15 AM) That is excellent news. That means before single game tickets have gone on sale, the Sox have sold 1.6 million tickets for 2006. Awesome!
