Weird year. My two favorite athletes of all time both leave their respective franchises this year. Reggie retired from the NBA and the Pacers, and my FAVORITE player seems to be done with the White Sox forever. I'm bummed, but I'm really not as much as I thought I would be. I'm just grateful that Frank was here for as long as he was. I would have taken it a lot differently, if it happened earlier in his career. I could possibly not be a Sox fan, if he wasn't here for how long he was. Now I'm a Sox fan for life thanks to Frank Thomas. I really wish we didn't have to see him play elsewhere, but it looks like it's going to have to be that way.

We know there's no way he'll ever be playing for the Sox again. Retire his number and start building that statue for the park ASAP. I can't think of a good reason not to, we did it early with Baines. Frank is just as, if not more deserving of the honor.

I guess that's the one good thing about living in a place where winters are s***ty. For the most part, people know how to drive in it.
