  1. He's been sitting w/ the team in the dugout, which is cool.
  2. QUOTE(TLAK @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 07:28 PM) How many guys remember that Freddy Lynn and Bernie Carbo also homered in Carlton Fisk's 1975 WS walk off game? I'm younger, but that's exactly the point. I don't know anything about those HRs before Fisk's. However, like every baseball fan, I know Fisk's shot.

  4. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 07:17 PM) Beat ya. Haha, how awesome is this? We're getting to debate who's HR was more clutch in a White Sox World Series game.
  5. QUOTE(MinnySoxFan @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 06:55 PM) Konerko's was pretty clutch too. Very true. Kong's will quickly be forgotten when they show WS highlights in the future in place of Pods walkoff. However, Kong's HR was absolutely huge. Pods' would have never had the chance, if Kong didn't come through earlier.
  6. I hope we have this problem. Because it means we just won the World Series.
  7. QUOTE(Art Vandelay @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 04:26 PM) Thanks, bud... No it wasn't all that gay! Not that there's anything wrong w/ that.
  8. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 04:30 PM) So you don't think he might have been given a new cap for the world series then? Nope, due to superstitions and such, players just get it sewn on to their season hat. Once you get a hat worn in, you don't want a new one.
  9. I honestly don't make a big deal of the Cubs. Some of their "fans" bug me, but other than that I don't really pay attention to what that team's doing. However, this is going to be very good for this team, if we...you know. I think it'd be big for the Sox as a franchise, to do it before they do.
  10. I have a 1917 blank. I just got my first authentic jersey the other week when that TTS deal was going on. I got an authentic vest Frank. I love it, and it's definitely going to be the first of many now. I'm really thinking about getting a Crede next. A few posters here can vouch that I've been on his bandwagon when he was Joe Cruddy, and not the Rally Crede we all know and love today.
  11. Please use that Lidge one. That one would sting so bad.
  12. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:15 PM) I'd love to change mine...but I ain't changin' in until we win 2 more games. I got a sweet ass IU sig I made a while back for the basketball season. I don't know if it'll ever see the light of day now. As for the Rally Crede, I wouldn't mind even keeping that as my permanent avatar. That thing's incredible.

  14. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 12:01 PM) Wow, I am seriously surprised by this. Thank you. I was humbled to be on the same ballot with, and very humbled to go in along side of, some of my favorite posters and old farts. Crap, are they thinking we're so old we could be dead soon? Being 1/2 the age of everyone in the HOF class........YESS! Ha, I also want to say thanks to everyone who voted for the HOF ballot. I definitely wasn't expecting anything out of this. It's very cool to be honored, by what I consider the best website on the net. To everyone at SoxTalk!
  15. QUOTE(knightni @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 01:04 PM) This one's better... http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y115/knig...cs/ddc4de29.jpg I love that one. He's floating right there, just like we all are right now. So awesome.
  16. QUOTE(knightni @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 12:24 AM) I'm really glad that I decided to make that pic for sigs thread back in April. It's like a time capsule now. I'm glad I've been saving pics too since the start of ST.
  17. Think about that. Pods' HR is going to be seen every year now, when they show all the great WS moments.
  18. I should, but I'll buy every DVD and VHS that mentions the Sox.
