QUOTE(rangercal @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 02:33 PM) What if it were Rally crede going up against Hurricane rally crede? I'm starting to come back down to earth a little bit, but definitely on Monday and Tuesday, I was like Da Bears guys w/ the Sox. I was just sitting in class..."White Sox. White Sox. White Sox..."

White Sox Movies and Slide Shows

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 12:51 PM) ALCS Highlight Video Best video ever. I don't care if you guys know it or not, but I admit seeing the play w/ Rooney's call got me misty eyed that time. This is so f***in' awesome! -
I don't mind it a whole lot, but it is pretty stickler. Shaq's outfit would be in violation of the rules, in the picture below.
-
I wouldn't be surprised to see it stay the same, but this is Bruce Levine. This certianly isn't guaranteed.

Would we be as mad about not getting tickets
greasywheels121 replied to GoRowand33's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 07:27 AM) Am I weird that I am not mad about not getting tickets? I knew I probably wasn't going to get them anyways, so why get mad? The Sox are in the World Series, and that is all I really care about. Sure I want to be there, but so did tons of other people, who all happened to have more money or better connections than I did. It happens, its life. I still get to watch my team on TV. Exactly Mike. Think about what you're complaining about people. The White Sox are in the World Series, enjoy this. -
This whole first pitch thing is getting spun around. The guys on ESPN were joking w/ Hawk that they heard Mariotti was throwing out the first pitch. They just wanted to hear Hawk lay in to Mariotti and call him a Heiny bird a couple times.
-
I guess this is why I hate politics and all that, lol. I heard and posted that, and I thought absolutely nothing of it.
-
Haha Hawk gets to take a stab at Mariotti at the end of the interview when they ask him if it's true that he's throwing the first pitch out at the WS.
-
Hawk's been offered to go in the radio booth w/ Rooney and Farmer, but he's going sit back relax, and strap it down and watch the games on TV.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 04:43 PM) Getting tix in '06 will be interesting. Who said: "Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it." If getting tix become more difficult at the expense of winning a World Series, you won't see me complaining.

So What'd Ticketmaster Charge You Per Ticket?
greasywheels121 replied to LVSoxFan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:46 PM) Was it more for Ticketfast? Had to be. I'm pretty sure the price of the tix my buddy and I had for the ALCS was $65. I think, it ended up being $86.75 a ticket, when it was said and done. -
QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:35 PM) Pujols> manny, ortiz, vlad... I'm just saying the Sox pitching's been doing quite fine against some of the leagues best hitters. The Stros lineup scares me more than the Cards with Pujols.

QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 02:50 PM) I swear I saw something this morning and then my boss repeated it that, in reality, what went on sale today was about 4,000 tickets to each game. HUH? He said something like the others are accounted for; MLB has a huge chunk, the players get a bunch, etc, etc., plus season ticket holders. Even taking all that into account, that eats up 36,000 tix per game? So to put that in perspective, I'm guessing about a million people went online (or called) today for just a few thousand tix that were actually available? Does anybody know the back story/ticket breakout? Also, those of you who got tix: what did TM tack on in service fees? Where did you get your avatar? Where's the orignal of that?

It's funny to think that somehow White Sox fans can still get pissed off about something when their team's going to the World Series for the first time in 46 years. We're talented. f***in' enjoy this people!!

QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 01:50 PM) I smell a class-action. And the end of our love affair with Brooks Boyer. God damnit. What the f*** does this have to do with the VP of Marketing?

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 01:46 PM) A CHANCE not that they WOULD get them. I don't think they expected the response they got from what I can tell. I'm not seeing any catches on this... http://whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/pr...t=.jsp&c_id=cws

QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 12:32 PM) The right person is Tom Sheridan. Call him and leave Brooks the f*** alone. That post needs to be pinned by itself. Brooks doesn't need to deal with this.
