  2. Please don't let this game go into extras. I've waited all day for the Sox game, I'm not about to miss any of it.
  3. I think we're getting past it. Also, if that's what did the Angels in for the series, they weren't going anywhere anyways.
  4. QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 05:58 PM) What time is the first pitch tonight? Supposed to be 7:15. It'll probably be a little later, but w/e it is, it can't get here soon enough.
  5. Getting close.. Pods, LF Iguchi, 2B Dye, RF PK, 1B Everett, DH Rowand, CF AJ, C Crede, 3B Uribe, SS Jose, RHP
  6. QUOTE(SnB @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 04:56 PM) I can't sit still. I've got a high fever and a bad cough and i can't get myself to lie down, i'm so excited, so nervous, the slogan is really true, "i love for this" I love this team too, but [i LiVe FOR THiS]
  7. For every good Sox fan out there. We all want to feel the best feeling ever. Also, as Reddy pointed out. Win it for my favorite athlete ever. Frank deserves this as much as anyone does.
  8. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 01:34 PM) James Hardy.
  9. Happy birthday Timmy McCarver..
  10. QUOTE(mkalk @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 11:20 AM) I have this growing dread that I will wake up in a hospital with tubes running in and out of my body, and the doctors will say I've been in a coma since April. Then they'll tell me the White Sox were last in the division.
  11. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 11:16 AM) All those Michigan doubters can now kiss my ass. We are going to win the Big Ten!!!!!!!! Look out Big Ten. PSU and OSU had a chance to run away with this thing and now Michigan is back!!
  12. Earlier in the season, I was raining on Kong's parade a lot. I was ready to see him go. I need to take all that back. PK owes me a bunch of crow.
  13. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 10:50 AM) Thanks. It just means I have limited movement, so darn it, I can't go into work today and I'll probably have to stay in tonight and watch the Sox. Ugh, this is such a tragedy. I hope you're jumping and dancing on one foot after tonight's game.
  14. I was never sold on a deal just for Wagner. And looking at that offer, thank god it never happened.
  15. These words are never usually put into the same sentence, but the Rally Crede has required that they must be. Jason, you're a genius.
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 09:18 AM) For 18 million a year? If he does that, then you can kiss one of our starters goodbye. Regardless what he does here on out, he's not A-Rod. He'll sign for much less.
  17. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 07:52 AM) Absolutely we have done an amazing job of jumping on these chances. Still, if the shoe was on the other foot, do you really think we would have threads stating, well Jenks should have made a better pitch? We'd be as livid as Angel fans, maybe more. Oh absolutely, I agree. I'm positive we'd be livid. I know we're saying this all with an impossible to rid bias. I just don't think anything that happened yesterday was going to make a difference in the score. Game 2, I feel we got a huge break that changed everything that happened in that game. These things do obviously happen though, and it's about time the Sox got some love going their way from the baseball gods. We've been waiting for too long.

  19. Anyone liking him as the 3rd guy as much as me? http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/playoffs2005...tory?id=2192527
  20. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 07:27 AM) When it is one call, it goes away quickly. I cannot remember a series where the umpiring has been such a factor and all one sided. If this was happening against the Sox, instead of for the Sox, we would be enraged they aren't showing it enough. I don't think any team has a fan base with more of a chip on our shoulders than the White Sox. We should be the first group to understand the coverage and the Angel fan's angst. We have benefited from calls, it doesn't seem to be even. We have also created our own "luck" and made these chances pay off. That is the mark of a championship team. As it was pointed out once by Buck and the crew, yes, we've gotten a few breaks. However, the umpires weren't the ones to throw the 0-2 pitch to Joe Crede Wednesday. The umpires weren't the ones that rolled the solid double play. The umpires weren't the ones that got Pods around to score last night. The Sox are doing it.
