  1. QUOTE(kwill @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) It says that the tickets will go onsale next thursday, for the division series but what time do they open the box office. They say you only can get them online or by phone, so can somebody explain to me what time they will open ticket master. I hope this question wasent already asked? Thanks As far as I've seen, ALDS tickets will all be sold ONLY through the internet and via phone. Nothing else.
  2. I hope it's solely for like an opening day type series. I'm sorry, but I don't think we need any of our big leagues to expand outside of the continent. That just seems like that'd be insanely rough on a schedule.
  3. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 05:49 PM) I will Not Listen to WSCR if John Rooney isn't brought back Sign it and i will send it to the Score. Dude, one is plenty.
  4. This will be left open until the start of the Sunday games now, but you will have to take an incorrect on the game starting now.
  5. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 04:35 PM) Hey guys I have a question, the tickets you buy can be used at any game or do you have to buy game one, game two or what?? I need some flexibility with school and work. It's going to be specified. Think about that. They can't just have people showing up whenever they feel like it.
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 11:45 AM) Nah, I believe we got to 8 when Hawk said he'd shave his head if we won 10 straight but we never got there. That didn't stop Buehrle though from shaving Hawk's head. That's what I was basing it off of. I remember Hawk saying that, and having a shaved head.
  7. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 11:35 AM) I believe that 1982 streak mentionned above was the last time this team had a 9 game winning streak. Didn't we win 10 in a row in 2003?
  8. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 09:42 AM) I apologize for the blanket statement. I guess I should have qualified it. The sentiment stands. There should be more than 15,000 people at these games. You've said it a few times this season, and I said it earlier in this thread Mike. It takes time. We're not going to suddenly sell out the park game after game overnight. I think this quote from Brooks sums it up perfectly: Things have improved a great deal in the attendance aspect this year; however, it's not all going to improve that quickly.
  9. QUOTE(Texsox @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 06:48 AM) The contrast is stagering. If the Cubs were in this position, the team would be scalping tickets left and right through their ticket agency. It would be the month of sell outs. I have to read Konerko's comments and say he's right. As it's been said billions of times though, that didn't happen overnight. It's certainly not going to happen overnight here.

  11. IU's game on Saturday is officially on! We didn't know if we were going to have a game or not. We're playing Nicholls State, and they're 70 miles outside of New Orleans. NS cancelled all their athletic events until further notice last week, and they were unsure if they could make it here for Saturday's game or not. http://iuhoosiers.collegesports.com/sports.../090705aac.html
  12. QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 04:06 PM) Oh man I am gettin' booted out of here so fast. Here's what I'm used to: Crede pops up. Again. Uribe swings at everything Please Rowand don't swing at that low n' away pitch! Damn you, Willie! Marte! AAAGH! Granted, everybody's been lookin' good since September, so many of these don't apply anymore. I had particular scorn for Contreras, but look how he's been lately (who knew?!). Anyway, those were familiar themes with me all season. Ban-able, eh? I am fokked. No, they aren't bannable offenses.
  13. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 03:58 PM) Try saying CREDEPOPSUP in the game thread, I dare ya. It was a long running inside joke at Soxtalk, but now apparantly banneable. No it isn't.

  15. QUOTE(Art Vandelay @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 03:33 PM) That's because (as Jerry Seinfeld once said) we "root for laundry". So perfect in the case of a White Sox fan too.
  16. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 03:28 PM) Using GIF ruined the shadow. Greasy has given me some advice for next time though, cheers Greasy.
