  1. I said it earlier, but behind Frank, Crede's my favorite White Sox player.
  2. Just getting home. I saw the 1st inning at work, and I've seen all of the 8th inning. Maybe I should just watch more. The Sox are looking great in the couple innings I've been able to see.
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 03:23 PM) With having a good pitching staff like what we have, and look to have for a few years, would it be better to have a team with more boppers on it again? This is just for discussion sake, as I'm sure they'll continue to go after smallball type players. However, if we had the pitching we had this year in previous seasons, we would have been having a very successful season this year also. I disagree. This current "bleak" offense is still > what we had in the past. The current offense can at least score on a consistent basis. How many times have we been shutout this year, once or twice? Our past lineups would have been shutout 39739872 times up to this point. This offense can match our previous ones in the power department, and we're a lot more succesful at doing the small things a whole too.
  4. QUOTE(Fotop @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 01:26 PM) Irish are in at #41 Just to list some irish opponents: #1 USC, #3 Tennesee, #4 Michigan, #16 Purdue, #25 Pittsburgh. Welcome to ND, Charlie. What kind of season do you expect them to have?
  5. Haha and the negativity starts before the game. Wait until the game starts to start b****ing. Please?!
  6. QUOTE(MinnySoxFan @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 12:10 AM) Thanks everybody. I made the top 10 so now I gotta do the rest on my own. They didn't release the vote totals but I'm going to try to get them because I'm hoping I've got about 90% of the vote. After I find out I will immediately declare myself the underdog and talk about how everybody's counting me out. Thanks again. Good people here. Good people who swear a lot. But good people. Nice. Good luck the rest of the way.

  8. QUOTE(3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 09:27 PM) I'm a huge Sox fan, have been for life, and I have been a big KW fan, but if Thomas is wearing another uniform next year, it will be a direct slap in the face to me and I may have to reconsider my allegiances. I may have not been around too long, but I have never seen such a great player (great doesn't describe it, in fact there's no word that does) disrespected so much in his own city, especially for one that did not deserve it. The White Sox owe it to Frank to keep him here no matter the cost. I'd be CRUSHED to see Frank still healthy enough to play and not doing it in Chicago. However, I wouldn't go that far. I'm as big a Frank Thomas fan you're ever going to find, but I'm a White Sox fan for life now. However, I'd probably have a 2nd favorite team that I actually follow from here on out if that were to ever happen. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 10:31 PM) I feel exactly the way you do, if he can play next season he needs to play in a Sox uni until he decides he is finished. I can't make it any clearer than that. Agreed.
  9. Gooch was thinking the right thing, but so was Sexson....Ouch.
  10. Alright Scotty, basehit now. We're playing baseball now....
  11. Real awesome to see this bad sitaution righted by the Sox. This is such an awesome team on and off the field. http://whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/ar...t=.jsp&c_id=cws
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 08:38 PM) Just remember....I'm pretty sure no team had ever comeback from 3 games down in the playoffs to win a baseball series. Red Sox?
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 08:36 PM) YES Okay, thank you. And that's why Cleveland and Minny don't really matter.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 08:34 PM) You're nuts! For the time being, I'm much more worried about the fact that Twins and Indians are winning. I simply find it amazing that anyone would be worried about freaking wild card teams now, with the division not even being close to being clinched. Even KW said that the only thing we've clinched is being in first place on August 4th! I know you had a maybe this and a maybe that answer the other night. Just a one word answer from you. Do we make the playoffs?
  15. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 08:19 PM) Remember also that Reinsdorf is friends with Thomas so he will probably tell KW to resign him. Like him or not Reinsdorf has always been loyal to longtime Sox Players who have been loyal to him. They will get something done. I don't know if it's just something that KW's doing to avoid controversy or he's actually changed his mind on Frank. However, it seems KW has gained a lot of respect for Frank this season. http://chicago.comcastsportsnet.com/media/...ms0729_16x9.wmv
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 08:14 PM) Stay hot AJP! That ball sure took off. The Cell is definitely playing small these days. Hawk said AJ's a 2nd half hitter, his numbers are showing that. I like it!
  17. If Thomas is even able to play next year, whether it's here (it better be) or anywhere else in MLB, he's going to have renegotiate a contract. Frank definitely knows that; he was saying the same thing before he went down for good.
  18. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 07:14 PM) Tadahooty Iguchi.
  19. Did I see that right? Did Crede shave the burns?
