QUOTE(Sam @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 10:31 PM) I'm not complaining, and I know that SoxTalk is different. Not that there is anything wrong with the sigs, but they are pretty damn big. Agreed. I wouldn't mind to see them shrink just a little bit. They don't have to be micro, but shrink them a little please.

QUOTE(drowninginflame @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 06:00 PM) Last night, I found this book at Frugal Muse in Downers Grove/Darien area for around $5.50 and it's a neat little bathroom reading style book. It's basically, just sox facts and qoutes and little nuggets about the team. It was cheap and a good half an hour read, I highly suggest it. PAUL WHITFIELD The White Sox fan's little book of wisdom I got that a bit ago at a Border's here. I'm impressed, the local bookstores are finally putting a few Sox books in the store. They NEVER have books on the Sox, believe me I look.

I think that's a pretty cool thing to have out there. Definitely something he didn't have to do.

I'm between casual and all-star. We always had them for baseball when I played in high school. Now whenever I get to get a snack from the halfway house, I grab seeds, because they last the longest.

QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 04:06 PM) Baltimore has a lot of scratch and with the Yanks doing so badly, and no fear of Boston, they might just try to buy the division. I don't know about the Orioles chances; the division is a lot closer now than people realize. Boston 49-38 - Baltimore 47-40 2 NY 46-40 2.5 However, this is easily the best opportunity Baltimore's had in awhile, so if they're going to decide to go all in, now's a time to do it.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 12:07 AM) TO comemerate the fact that Joe borchard sucks ass I made this: No way man... He's still part of the best 1-2 combo in the bigs

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 12:01 AM) I've just got an inkling that Gload's gonna be moved in a deadline deal, especially if the Sox Brass decide on re-signing Konerko at the end of the year. I hope you're wrong. I'm ready to see Konerko out of Chicago.

Isn't this Madden supposed to have an ESPN touch to it?

White Sox in the World Series

QUOTE(the People's Champ @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 09:46 PM) C'mon now guys humor me ok? I did say hypothetically I just think it's going be unanimous though. We all want to see this team win so bad; none of us care who we're playing. I follow this team, and I want to see them win the World Series. I don't root for this team to play a particular team in the World Series, and THEN win the series. -
White Sox in the World Series

I could care less who our opponent is, if we won the World Series. -
This is probably going to be deemed a stupid ?...

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 06:11 PM) This is often a common problem with new people who do not know the rules. I was "suspended" from the site for a day a few weeks ago, when I first discovered it, for calling names. I do appreciate the rule, and you'll find that it actually makes life easier here at soxtalk. PS... what do you guys think of the first sig I created? good? gay? I'm teaching myself photoshoppy. I like it. Like everyone else is saying, the only way to get "good" at that program is to just play around with stuff. Good-tutorials is a real solid site to look at too. Just have fun with it. -
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 02:21 PM) Thanks for doing that man!

QUOTE(ShoelessJoesNikes @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 01:56 PM) Borchard s a waste of a good uniform. Let him tear it up in the minors and trade him for whatever we can get. Awesome name, and welcome to SoxTalk!

This is from Scott Reifert's blog: http://whitesoxpride.mlblogs.com/ Does anyone know if there's anywhere online to see these?

Kind of weird, this lady used to write restaurant reviews in town. She left the paper a couple years back; I didn't realize she was going to end up in Chicago. http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/foo-news-sox13.html

Garland looked nervous and shaky tonight

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 07:55 AM) Plus the fact he came for relief. Exactly, there's too many things that weren't normal about that situation Jon had to pitch in. However, it's all moot, because Garland DID get the job done. Something you can't say about almost all the NL pitchers and Rogers. -
I doubt Pods is even pissed. He got into the game anyways, (I know it wasn't for the reason we were all expecting). Like DABearSoX, we got the guy a raise. Also, it's got to feel really great to be supported like that. The way the Sox fans and the organization got behind him for this was pretty special.

Garland w/ the insane hat like always.

I voted my ass off, and no.

I think I'm getting myself a digital camera tomorrow. I'm pretty excited for that; I'll have it for the ChiSox game next Saturday.
