  1. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jul 1, 2005 -> 02:24 PM) Buerhle ----> St. Louis Rocket ----> Houston I wouldn't have a problem with Mark finishing his career in St. Louis and living out his dream. I just hope it is via a trade and not free agency. He has given 100% to this team each year. And don't tell me that if any of us were lucky enough to be playing in Minnesota or LA we wouldn't want a season or two on the southside. No disrespect to the Twins or Dodgers, but the chance to play for the Sox would be very cool. We have to accept the reverse. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jul 1, 2005 -> 03:16 PM) Yeah that's the way I look at it. If I was playing for St. Louis, I would be dying to pitch for the White Sox someday. Agreed x 2. I just hope we can have Buehrle for a little bit longer. I'd like to see us at least get another contract out of him after this current one ends. I totally understand him wanting to play for St. Louis at one point in his career.
  2. It's pretty f***ing sad when I feel like I'm in the minority for ENJOYING a 53-24 team.
  3. 94 Nissan Altima Exact car/color, just different wheels
  4. Kalapse, I know you didn't forget about your boy Doc Holladay.
  5. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 08:31 PM) No excuse. Vaughn should've demanded to wear a Sox jersey. You guys take things wayyyyyyyyyy too seriously.
  6. And you wonder why they made those goofy commercials.
  7. I saw this commercial this morning; I thought it was kind of funny/cool to see the Sox were in it.
  8. QUOTE(CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 07:34 PM) I'm happy as hell that Shingo is Shingo again. We all but forgot about Mr. Zero. Keep throwing strikes. That was his only problem as I've said in the past. If Japanese batters didn't figure him out all those years I don't see why MLB hitters would. During the rain delay today I saw highlights from last year and Willie Harris scored a winning run and there was the usual mob scene around the hitter. I saw Willie on the edge of the group and Shingo comes up behind him and starts punching him in both ass cheeks. Left, right ,left ,right ,left, right. Willie turns around and puts up his dukes as Shingo runs away. Cracked me up. Did anyone else happen to see that or remember it ? Haha, I saw that. I'm glad to see Shingo getting back in form too; it's hard not root for that guy.
  9. The theme is special alright.
  10. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 06:03 PM) was spotted at the Cubs game with a Cubs jersey today. WTF??? That sh*t shouldn't be happening. I rather him be a Twins fan than a Cubs fan. And Jennifer Aniston allegedly was there too. Vince Vaughn, you are now a jagbag. They were filming a movie.
  11. I really liked him too. I'm glad to see he's still getting some PT, since that's what he wanted to do. I always say this on here when his name gets brought up, but I want to see him become a coach on the South Side when he decides to call it a playing career.

  13. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 04:26 PM) The sox are so good they are almost boring at this point, if you know what i mean. I know this isn't what you mean, but I must say, I won't get tired of winning.
  14. QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) I have a feeling that number 56 could be retired someday... I sure hope so. That would mean he'd be here for an extended amount of time, beyond this current contract.

  16. Ozuna, SS Iguchi, 2B Thomas, DH PK, 1B Everett, LF Dye, RF Rowand, CF Widger, C Crede, 3B
  17. Damn. The only thing I have against this is this is going to be blown out of proportions INSANELY. Exhibit A:
  18. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 10:45 AM) Why are we doing this? I seriously don't know why Kevin f***ing Walker is being called up. We insist on letting s***ty players take up roster space, I swear. The Sox want to make sure you all have something to b**** about, since 52-24 isn't enough.
  19. Trusted him, wavered, getting it back
  20. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 02:17 AM) What, you mean 25 ft 3 pointers off Bracey's back foot aren't beneficial to the offense? s***. I'll definitely be there. I still can't believe he got drafted. But I guess he does shoot like an NBA player already.
  21. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 06:17 AM) Granger. I'm so excited about that pick.
  22. QUOTE(Southside hitmen @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 12:46 AM) I agree but Frank isnt Ex Sox player yet I just don't think anyone else's numbers will be retired before Frank's.
  23. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 11:57 PM) I'll be very interested to see this game, should be a good one. You'll sure have your hands full Greasy, but it will be a good game. IU has some potential this year, that's for sure. I still don't believe in Davis, but that's just me. I want to see if this team really is different without Bracey, like many of you have been saying. I'm probably too optimistic when it comes to my teams and who's representing them, but this is it for Davis. This is finally the team we've been hearing so much about; if they don't make at least the round of Sweet 16, he's as good as gone in my book and most likely the university's. Wright being in the NBA is just being going to be good on several levels for this team. It'll be healthy for the offense IMO, and the chemistry will be a lot more solid too.
