  1. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 08:40 PM) wow that really sucks, I loved when they were on WGN so much better quality He was just saying what a dumb comment they made. That's totally false; they're still on WGN.
  2. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 06:05 PM) No, Konerko has developed a batting eye. He's already walked more this season than Crede ever has in a single season. He's quietly putting up a fine season. I don't know. The point I made really has worn down a bit since Frank has come back, because that's helped Kong a lot. However before that, it really seemed he was a home run or nothing guy. It was getting tired.
  3. Well barring a HUGE choke down the final few holes, Michael Campbell will be the winner of the US Open. I'm happy to see him do this; I've seen him in many European events on the Golf Channel over the years. He seems like a really good guy and well-deserving. Tiger did try to make it interesting for most of the day though. However, it looks like he'll probably end up in second place.
  4. WH and I were talking about this the other day. Crede = Konerko However, Konerko definitely gets a huge pass on this board.
  5. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 02:20 PM) IMO, they need to rest Orlando as long as needed. I don't think Brandon is ready to steal anyones job, but I think he can at least keep us in games. El Duque will play an important role for us down the stretch, we need him well rested. Agreed, I want Duque in the best form he can be at the end of the season and possibly the playoffs. I think I'd have the most faith in him in the playoffs, with his track record there.
  6. It appears it's your golden birthday. Have a good one, and hopefully the Sox can give you a sweep for your birthday!

  13. QUOTE(ChiSoxFan @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 09:12 PM) Methinks certain posters who like to hang around when the Sox are losing are being rather "silent" tonight. I miss Poppy!
  14. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 08:51 PM) Wow is all I can say. I was getting pumped up for this game all day. I told my friends to f*** off, this was a White Sox night. I watched every pitch and never had a doubt. Unreal, what a team, what a season. Keep it going boys!!! Same here man. I was looking forward to this all day, with the vintage jerseys and everything. I knew the first inning was only an abberation of what was going to happen tonight. I just had a feeling we were going to do something big tonight. I love it.

  18. I think I've finally convinced some people to see some Sox games. I think I'll be at the Saturday game against Boston in July. I think I might see 1 or 2 during September too.

  20. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 12:34 PM) really didn't feel like sitting by myself at the game *Cough cough*
  21. QUOTE(Colorado Sox Fan @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 11:31 AM) I finally got registered. I'm a 35+ year Sox fan who went to the first two games at Coors and watched game 3 on TV. It was incredible. I couldn't believe how many Sox fans went to the games. Getting out of my car in the parking lot the first night, families on either side of me got out of vans, wearing their Sox jerseys. Inside the park, the people sitting in front of me and next to me were long time Sox fans from Chicago who had moved to Denver. People in Sox gear were all over the park. For the most part, these were no bandwagon-jumpers. I saw a lot of well-worn caps from '83 and old jerseys. I would say that for game 2, it seemed like there were more "brand-new" Sox fans in the crowd. Anyway, by the end of both games, the Sox fans took over and cheered them on. Rockies fans didn't know what was going on. With all the crap written about Sox fans, it's typical that a statement like this from Rowand about the Coors series was essentially ignored, except by the Sox web site: "I like it here," Rowand said of Coors Field. "Obviously, the air doesn't hurt, but the stadium is beautiful and so is the clubhouse. There also were a lot of White Sox fans in the crowd. It's been fun, but a little bit strange." Welcome to SoxTalk!
