  1. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ May 30, 2005 -> 02:23 PM) got my block I tickets for next year already (season tix). even though we sucked it up last year, we were in just about every game. I have faith that I will get to see a bowl game in my time as a student here. Unlike some Okay, I know who that was directed at.... So how long do you plan on staying at UI?
  2. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ May 30, 2005 -> 01:44 AM) I haven't seen a perimiter player playing at the level Wade is playing at since you know who. I think I like Wade more than I do LeBron. Carry this league Wade.
  3. Ah man....This is gravy. Frank Thomas returning to the lineup in Chicago.
  4. Great news! I'd love to see the Hurt back in Chicago on Monday!
  5. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 28, 2005 -> 11:38 AM) The Charlotte manager said it was clearly foul and the home plate umpire botched the call. When the opponet protested, they talked to the crew chief and the other umpires and reversed the call. The Knight's manager wasn't even upset about the reversal because he knew how badly they call was botched. Naturally, I actually heard this come out of his mouth on the Carmen and Silvy show, but, what do I know. I still stand by what I said though. I don't think you can justify it without seeing it. That's like a blind person saying the new Star Wars movie is the best ever. But I understand your an umpire, and you must stand by everything they say.
  6. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 28, 2005 -> 11:51 AM) :puke :puke If you compare him to how many ABs he's had with everyone else on the team. His 6 isn't that bad at all.
  7. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 28, 2005 -> 11:43 AM) How is it possible that the Cubs continue to fleece dumb f***ing teams. I would love for the Sox to do that just once. Shouldn't this be in the LaTroy thread? Garland will take this tonight.
  8. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 28, 2005 -> 11:32 AM) They reversed the call and got it right; they did exactly what they were supposed to do. I don't think you can say that without actually seeing it.
  9. QUOTE(Texsox @ May 28, 2005 -> 10:59 AM) then what did happen to you?? I was born in Indiana.
  10. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 28, 2005 -> 02:07 AM) No derogatory nicknames. No eating s***. Just Good Baseball. Solid F'n Pitching. D-Fence. Timely Hitting. I like it. Let's do this Sox!
  11. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 27, 2005 -> 03:05 PM) Okay, so maybe you didn't say that I personally feel that way but you did assume that some Sox fans do. Just because I post news about the Cubs doesn't mean I or anyone else who does feels this way. I never said it's you. I just think it's a lot of White Sox fans in general. I was browsing WSI the other day. There was a thread talking about Sox fans boycotting the show '24', because there's an actor on there that's a Cubs fan. I just find examples like that pathetic.
  12. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 27, 2005 -> 03:02 PM) So posting news about Prior getting injured means that I don't worry about a Sox loss as long as the Cubs lose as well? Thanks for knowing the way I feel after a Sox loss. Tell me where I said Jabroni thinks like that.
  13. QUOTE(Steff @ May 27, 2005 -> 02:58 PM) Oh ease up a bit greasy.. if it wasn't for my boss asking me to get the scoop I wouldn't have heard about this until later at the bar. I understand this is news, and we can post about it. I just find it sad that people are taking joy in Prior going down, because he plays for the Cubs.
  14. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 27, 2005 -> 02:55 PM) Why is it pathetic? Sox fans are only supposed to read news about the Sox and only the Sox? The Cubs are a team in the MLB and they are even in the same city as the Sox! I don't like Cub fans, and that's the end of it in my book. I don't go out of my way to see what happened with them the last night. I just ignore them. I don't understand a lot of Sox fans obsession with what happens on the NorthSide. I just find it pathetic when the Sox lose, and a Sox fan, can claim it to be okay because the Cubs lost. It's just an unhealthy obsession. You might as well make them your 2nd favorite team with all the energy you expel on them.
  15. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 27, 2005 -> 02:51 PM) And your point is? Is this not the "Around the Horn" forum? Should I complain about you for posting a ton of stuff about that whiny loser, Reggie Miller? I'm just saying that Chisoxrd5 is right. Too many of you are more worried about the shortfalls of the Cubs than White Sox success. It's pathetic; that's all.
  16. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 27, 2005 -> 02:48 PM) http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=34318 http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=34249 http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=34128 http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=33964
  17. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 27, 2005 -> 02:46 PM) I think she was talking about "deleting" the poster Hideaway Lights. Doesn't mean what he said wasn't the truth.
  18. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ May 27, 2005 -> 02:43 PM) I doubt she was joking....too many of you are more worried about the shortfalls of the cubs than white sox success...its pretty pathetic. We fall right into the typical sox stereotype ^^^^ Some of your guy's Cubs obsession is up there.
  19. I should have mentioned this earlier, when I was watching the old ones. My friend and I agreed that we actually like the CG Yoda better than the muppet Yoda from the old ones. I didn't think I'd be that way, because I wasn't a fan of how much CG Lucas used in these prequels. However, the CG definitely got better and better in each new prequel to a point where you didn't think about it as much.
  20. I guess they cut short the quote in your article YAS.... http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/arti...PORTS/505270500
  21. I can't even see a bad Frank being worse than what we have right now. I think he'll be a welcomed addition to the '05 lineup.
  22. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 27, 2005 -> 10:00 AM) It also seems to me that he regularly visits a kid who wrote to him, who has the same disease as his kid... I can't remember details, but I think it was Pujols... anyone else remember this? Yeah, there was a story on that just last week. He does a lot for kids with down-syndrome.
