  1. You've got to admit this picture is funny.
  2. 7 pages already.... Garcia has the 2nd best ERA of 2.24 (min 100 IP) in interleague play. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/base...ords/index.html
  3. QUOTE(Spiff @ May 20, 2005 -> 10:39 AM) Well if Jack McCallum says it, it must be true. :rolly f*** this rose-colored-glasses-s*** all of a sudden. He's trying to romanticize Miller's chest-pounding and leg-kicking? f*** that. That's weak, kissing up to an old fart on his way out. Hindsight is 20/20. Reggie was and will always be a prissy little jump shooter who never won anything. The end. And what Spiff says always goes.... If he's nothing more than a prissy little jump shooter, why is there such a love affair going on for his retirement? I mean, they all can't be wrong.
  4. QUOTE(Spiff @ May 20, 2005 -> 03:53 AM) I would never call the guy classy, he did what he had to to get by, but there's nothing classy about him. This is the same guy who argued with Spike Lee in the middle of games. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writ...ggie/index.html
  5. ^^^^ Thank you for the recaps and the pictures. Much appreciated.
  6. Well the Pacers put up of a hell of a fight, but 7 months to the day of the fight, it's time to call it a season. This shall be a good Eastern Conference Final, Miami vs. Detroit.
  7. Once again: Reggie Miller. Such a class guy. I'm really going to miss him on the Pacers. He'll always be my favorite basketball player. What Larry Brown and the Pistons did at the end of the game was really class. I have a lot of respect for what they did. Reggie unfortunately did not get to play another game, but he went out in such a great fashion. Thank you Reggie. The Pacers have some big shoes to fill.
  8. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 19, 2005 -> 12:00 PM) This series means more to the fans than it does to the players, and rightly so. The players should be getting up for a series against the Twins, not neccesarily the Cubs. However, the big raucous crowds should get our guys up as well. Some reason I'm not as excited as I used to be for this series. Maybe that will all change once the games start tomorrow. It also may be the sad fact, that though I'm always optimistic, part of me realized this may be all I had to look forward to during the season. It seems there's things much more important than the crosstown series this season.

  10. QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ May 19, 2005 -> 09:49 AM) ATTENTION TO THOSE WHO APPARENTLY DO NOT KNOW: Performance has nothing to do with the All-Star starters, it's who the voters select. Pitchers have everything to do with performance.

  12. I'm seeing it late Friday night.
  13. Okay, so I had a tuna sandwich yesterday for lunch. Why the f*** is Bill Parcells' nickname "Tuna?"
  14. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ May 19, 2005 -> 12:41 AM) There is some guy named Frank Thomas Yeah..... ^^^^ It's going to take a lot more than this to surpass my opinion of Frank to be my favorite player.
  15. QUOTE(kapkomet @ May 18, 2005 -> 02:27 PM) Where's that? I don't remember that one? Is that the one by Autumn Ridge north of town? s***, it's been a long time, I am starting to forget Fort Wayne. Yep, it's basically 2 minutes away from Autumn Ridge. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 18, 2005 -> 02:29 PM) You lucky dog
  16. QUOTE(kapkomet @ May 18, 2005 -> 02:13 PM) Greasy - which golf course you working at? Pine Valley Country Club
