  1. QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 09:53 PM) Kendall is a pitcher's nightmare. He's so hard to strike out. True, crazy thing is he had 3 of them last night.
  2. QUOTE(whitesoxfan13 @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 09:23 PM) JD singles! *Rowand

  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 06:36 PM) For me personally, this is what I live for when it comes to White Sox baseball. We are winning. Right now we are the best team in baseball. What could be better? Sure we could win the world series, but why limit yourself to something that probably won't happen? I know my spidey senses are tingling and things could go bad, but why obsess or dwell on that? I am a fan, and I want to enjoy my run at the top while I can. If the team falls apart and I didn't enjoy it while it lasted, what did I get out of it? I got to be the first to say things would fall apart? Who cares? I'd rather be happy to be the best team in baseball. Excellent post Mike.
  5. It'd be cool to be up by like 10 by mid-May. We could be halfway there, if we take care of biznass tonight.

  8. Don't worry...The Yanks and BoSox will field the entire AL starting lineup anyways.
  9. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 01:47 PM) Dye may rebound to be the player he was on Oakland but it is safe to say that the KC era of his career that some were hoping for is long since past. WIth Frank out longer than expected, Jermaine needs to step up. That said, pressure is not really a huge factor when you are winning. I'm confident he'll turn it around, but I still feel he's probably pressing himself early on. Every player wants to do well for their new team.
  10. I want Dye to do well so bad. Though he was a Sox killer while in KC and Oakland, he just seemed like a good guy. I like what he did this offseason, staying true to his word with the Sox, after being offered more money. I guess this thread might help. The Crede threads just resulted in a 14 game hitting streak. Rowand's bashing thread over the weekend resulted in 2 crucial hits in the Saturday and Sunday games. I guess it's Dye's turn.
  11. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 01:35 PM) What's a nub..? I'm just guessing it's the new cool way to say newbie [nu-b]..
  12. Frank will be KW's best mid-season acquisition in 2005.
  13. What does your football team have to do with what baseball team you like?
  14. Is it sad when Greg Norton is getting the most threads when this ballclub is 15-4?
  15. Happy Birthday X 3 Hope you all have a good day!
  16. What skin are you using? I remember people were getting emails with the silver or gray one.
  17. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 09:21 PM) The problem they have to me is a bunch of worthless idiots discussing baseball. Reminds me of Chris Rock's joke about American Idol. "You got Simon, Paula Abdul, and Al Roker judging singers. What do they know about singing? That's like Christopher Reeves judging a dance contest."
  18. QUOTE(farmteam @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 08:31 PM) I was just wondering...say you had your choice-would you rather live in the big city and go to a couple Major League games a year, or live in a smaller city, and go to more minor league games a year? Remember, while the bigs may be the "Real Deal", think of the cost--way cheaper to attend a minor league game, and you could attend more of them. Also, while I've never been to an affiliated minor league game (I've always wanted to go to one), I have a feeling the game would seem more "pure". I could be way off base on that, but who knows. Something about being able to see the younger guys, too. So, for me, while I love being able go to White Sox games, I think I'd prefer to live in a smaller area and go to more games. And when I say smaller, I'm talking something about the size of, say, the Quad Cities (just the first thing that popped in my head). So, which do you choose? Major League, easily. I live in a city w/ an A ball team. I go to a lot of games, and I've seen a lot of players come through (Pierzynski, Hunter, Lawton, Hawkins, Koskie, Rivas, Cuddyer, Burroughs, etc.) but I'd much rather be at White Sox games.
