  3. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Feb 19, 2005 -> 10:57 PM) I was at that game. It was tremendous. I actually got lucky with another Angel game this year where Timo had the big hit of K-Rod and Kong ended it with a a ball to the track. I was at that, but it was Uribe who ended the game.
  4. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Feb 19, 2005 -> 10:52 PM) Good call.
  5. Josh Smith...come back to IU son! Man, him and DJ in the paint.....GAWD!
  6. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Feb 19, 2005 -> 08:49 PM) I love Barkley... Barkley was great during Anderson's 923843352 attempts. Somone needs to get us some Snickers.
  7. QUOTE(Moose78 @ Feb 19, 2005 -> 03:47 PM) Here is a recent feature I did with Sun times Columnist Chris DeLuca, among other things, we talked about the Sox, and Canseco's book. DeLuca Q&A Welcome to the board! That's pretty cool that you guys have the Komets on there too. Nice site.
  8. Nice... Iowa State does it, 63-61...What a horrible week for Kansas in the #2 spot.
  9. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2004 @ Feb 19, 2005 -> 06:21 AM) I'm VERY dissapointed that boy wonder "Lebron" has decided not to participate in the dunk contest. What is with these guys? We go through this crap every single year. Instead of Kobe, T-mac, Vince, Lebron, Ect, we get guys like Chris Anderson, makes me sick. It's like these guy's ego's are so large that they can't fathom the idea of possibly being shown up or outshined by somebody else in a dunk contest. Oh well, I guess I can always watch my old tapes of Mj and Nique. I'm not going to try to turn this into a big argument, but Lebron had 2 back to back games going into the break. He also had to play in the rookie game AND in the all star game. That's a lot of basketball in a short amount of time.
  10. Wow....That took me way too long. I finally figured it out though; it was driving me crazy.
  11. Nice thread idea Aboz. Fact: A White Sox starting pitcher will win 20 games this season. Fact: Willie Harris will be on the White Sox opening day roster. Fact: Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez will toss more than 140 innings this season. Fiction: Shingo Takatsu will record more than 30 saves this season. Fiction: Scott Podsednik will set a career high in both batting average and OBP this season. Fiction: Frank Thomas will play in more than 120 games this season. Fact: Carl Everett will get more than 350 at-bats this season. Fact: A White Sox starter other than Mark Buehrle or Freddy Garcia will throw a complete game shutout this season. Fact: The White Sox will win the American League Central in 2005.
  12. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Feb 14, 2005 -> 05:06 PM) There is not a whole lot of difference...obviously, there is a difference, but consider that one is when Frank is about 21 or so, and the other is in his mid to late 30s. Frank Thomas has constantly said he would be very willing to take a urine test, and that he has been for steroid testing from the beginning. To be a tight end at one of the more prolific colleges in college football, you have to be decent sized. If Thomas was mentioned with steroids, as in he took them...I would laugh...because there is no way it's true. Oh I agree. I'm not really worried about ever hearing his name in these kind of conversations. I have cards of him when he was playing little league, and he was a beast then. However, it'd just crush me. He's always been my favorite baseball player/athlete. Frank was the reason I became a Sox fan, and there was a time, where I liked Frank more than the team.
  13. Again thanks to everyone for the kind words! I definitely want to do my best here. I just don't want this to change my posting style or the way I look at this board. That's why I was always afraid of taking a position like this on the board. However, I'm positive I don't have to worry about that. This place is so great! Again thank you all, and go Sox!
  14. If that's the only mention of Frank Thomas in the book, good deal. I would be absolutely crushed to hear Frank's name involved with steroids.
  15. I'm obviously not the biggest hockey guy, but are the owners and everyone still going to continue to try to hammer out kind of deal tomorrow, etc? Like I said, I'm not the biggest hockey fan; I was a casual Komets fan back home, but it's weird not seeing hockey highlights anymore.
  16. Bah...I'm definitely going to miss NFL Countdown; I dispise Jim Rome.
  17. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Feb 14, 2005 -> 01:25 PM) I think it's only for PS2, I don't remember updates being available for Xbox this past year. That's kind of weird. The updates have to be available if you have the computer version, don't they? I was thinking of maybe getting it for the computer this year since I don't have a system here, and I spend enough time on the computer as is.
