I'll be between (mostly) in my room and our floor lounge. We're setting up a TV in the lounge to watch the game and ordering some pizzas. I'm pulling for Philly; I don't think they get it done though. -

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 6, 2005 -> 03:03 PM) I really think that Davis will end up getting fired after this season. I hope that whoever the new coach is, will be able to keep the players there. I do think there is a good nucleus, but sadly, I don't think Davis will be around to see it come to fruition. I've been doing a lot of Davis supporting of late. I really want him to be here next year. I just can't wait to see Killer and White down low with these freshmen. I think Wright's going to be back now. Also, this was brought up in the last IndyStar column. The Knight backers are f***tarded. The people that say Davis took Knight's players to the final four, na uh. Who was the recruiter of those players? Davis. Who's system was that? Davis'. Also that argument should go over to Texas Tech. The Knight backers that say he's doing a good job at Texas Tech. He didn't recruit those players. The whole argument should be moot. -

Well, congrats to Illinois. I don’t think anyone had doubts who was going to win this game. However, I’m not too upset with how we played today. They didn’t get beat as bad as I thought we would with Bracey being out. I was really pleased w/ Vaden today; he’s had a consistent season. However, nothing was very stand out; he really stepped it up when Bracey went out against PSU and today against Illinois. -

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 6, 2005 -> 02:05 PM) So I am gone for a week, and we are letting some two bit troll cruise our board with an anti-Sox signature? Oh for shame. Drop the sig junior, or hit the road... you know, like the Indians fairweather fans did when the good players left town. I was wondering what happened to you. Welcome back Mike! -

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 6, 2005 -> 01:49 PM) Nice finish to the half for the Hoosiers after a terrible start. I'm impressed. The defense is dominating this game on both sides. It's not pretty, but to be down 6, starting 4 freshmen, and being on the road at the #1 place is pretty good. -

QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Feb 6, 2005 -> 01:22 PM) Looking pretty ugly so far and Douglys already talking s*** even though he knows absolutly nothing about the ILLINI. Please take it to AIM if you're just going to talk s***. There's no reason to start a b**** thread here. We know Indiana's not going to win today. You can't expect much without Bracey in the lineup. Illinois is a great team, and they definitely have a great shot of finishing the regular season undefeated. However, I don't think I'd say they're my pick to win it all yet. -
Haha those are awesome....I like Johan as ET.

lf found true about Palmerio, that's going to kill his career. Though he has 500 HRs, people still question his chances of getting into the HOF. These results may take care of that. -
Emmitt Smith ready to call it quits

QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Feb 4, 2005 -> 06:41 PM) I know what you mean on retiring with the same team, I hate seeing guys hang on for a couple more years on other teams, like Smith on the Cardinals, Jordan on the Wizards, Namath on the Rams, Montana on the Chiefs, ect. The list just keeps going. By the way, awesome Jordan sig Goldmember. I don't know about Namath, because that was a bit before my time, but the rest really didn't play all that bad on their new teams. Besides, everybody will remember Smith as a Cowboy, as they do Jordan to the Bulls, Namath to the Jets, Montana to the 9ers, -

So what do I do with my Maggs Jersey?
greasywheels121 replied to UofIChiSox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(JimH @ Feb 4, 2005 -> 11:30 AM) I empathize with this, and it is one reason why I don't put a players name and number on the back of a jersey. There is nowhere near as much loyalty from either the team or the player these days, but that is another subject totally. I do have two Maggs Ordonez Bobble Heads up for grabs though, both in the box I've been able to wear my Frank jersey for quite sometime, and I think that one will always be in style. I want to get an authentic one this year though. -
Eh...Since, I can't finish better or worse...I'm going to pick who I want to win... Eagles.

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 4, 2005 -> 12:03 AM) Wright not expected to play against U of I this weekend.... Wright out? Probably the best decision. We weren't going to win w/ a healthy Wright either at UI. -
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Feb 3, 2005 -> 09:47 PM) How bad must you suck if you're on this team and you still can't get any playing time? Eh...They're all nervous. This is the worst game they've had so far this year, as it's been noted.

QUOTE(Pale Hose Jon @ Feb 3, 2005 -> 02:41 PM) I am sooooooooo pissed tbs stopped showing saved by the bell at 11 am. Why in the world would i want to watch ED, give me a break TBS I'm just glad they've kept the Cosby Show at 1. It's become my favorite show in college.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Feb 3, 2005 -> 04:48 PM) Just wondering, but didn't most experts peg the Royals to win the AL Central last year? After about 90% of us on the board knew that they had absolutely nobody worth a damn in their rotation, and a mediocre lineup to boot? Definitely did. People can't really predict this stuff. No one knew Frank AND Maggs would be out half of the year last year. Just let them play the games; experts doubting us isn't going to effect my optimism.

QUOTE(The Bones @ Feb 3, 2005 -> 12:25 AM) Illinois hasn't allowed anyone to score 80 on them. Neither has Indiana ; damn we're going to get pwn3d on Sunday. Why does that game have to be on CBS? Bracey left tonight's game early; I'll probably hear what his status is tomorrow. At least most of America won't even know about it, thanks to the Super Bowl. But yeah, definitely a different style of basketball in the ACC. It seems just about all the successful teams in their conference really play a quick style of ball.
