  1. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jan 26, 2005 -> 01:01 PM) I think you're underestimating Harris' trade value. Yes, that's right. I'm saying it. Especially if you look at that depth chart. Harris has shown flashes of life at the major leauge level and I'm sure there are teams (5-10+) that would love to give him a shot. His window of opportunity is rapidly closing on the Southside, but not in the MLB. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=29068
  2. 42% (Yankee). Barely into the Yankee category. Basically the same thing Critic said, though I'm NE Indiana. I liked the questions on that though. It was cool to see the little stats.
  3. I still think NE would win even if this TO injury never happened. The Pats defense doesn't care.
  4. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Jan 25, 2005 -> 11:43 PM) As much as I would love him to win rookie of the year.. I rather have another award 2005 AL Central Champs Chicago White Sox Anyone that doesn't agree with that is insane.

  6. Kidnapperes have asked Urbina for $3M
  7. I've seen this a couple times. Kind of cool to think about.
  8. If I'm going to miss anyone we traded away/let go, it'd be Caballo. However, I still see it as trading Carlos for Pods, Viz, AJ, Duque, and Iguchi. So I'm not mad at all.
  9. QUOTE(Beastly @ Jan 25, 2005 -> 02:25 PM) No I was just confused of why you posted 1919...if it was a number that mean't something weird or something. It was nothing towards you... 1919 was the year of the Black Sox.
  10. We shall see. I agree with a lot of the previous posts. If they don't get up early, it may be over fast with the Wiscy home crowd being all over them. It will be interesting to see how they fare after the shooting night they had against Iowa at home. That'll provide some inspiration to not have something like that happen again. However, no matter how ugly/great the game is, it's an impressive win for either side. Wiscy could extend their winning streak at home to 40 and knockdown the #1. Illinois could basically solidify the unanimous vote with a win here, and snap the Wiscy home streak.
  11. QUOTE(Man Of Steel @ Jan 25, 2005 -> 10:46 AM) you would say that wouldnt you soxBADGER It's his favorite animal.
  12. I don't want Vazquez. If we're going to do anything else, I want it to be for a backup SS. However, I'm very content with where we are. It's got to be a good thing when we're all we're really concerned about at the moment is how many days until ST.
  13. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 11:15 PM) Or when he threw out Bret Boone to end the game that Baj and Shingo nearly threw away, or his antics on the basepaths against Carlos Zambrano. Let's just look at his numbers from last year where he was an everday starter for half the season considering he's going to be a bench player this year. Makes sense to me! :rolly His antics on the basepaths against Zambrano gave us 2 runs. Remember Crede hit a HR after Zambrano throwing over 9823983298 times.

  15. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 10:12 PM) Rooting for the Eagles, but resigned to fate... Likewise.
  16. Kind of funny...I know it's early in the results, but the pro-Willie (I'm one) people are up a touchdown in the to keep or not to keep Willie poll. I guess we are just a little less boisterous on the subject.
  17. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 08:53 PM) Give me a f***ing break. You should see the Yankee fans' reaction to this signing. Maybe the Yankees were turned off by his agent's original proposal of 3 year $20 million. Nice find santo.
  18. QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 08:16 PM) How about trading Crede,Harris and Garland for Mike Lowell I really don't want Lowell, and if we traded Garland, we have that hole in our rotation again. We really don't have any holes right now. Let's leave it that way.
  19. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 07:35 PM) Exactly. That scares me ALOT. Especially since no one seems to talk about we were the only team to be in the running for this guy. That makes me question something... You got to remember he came over here expecting Kaz money. That had to turn some teams off for such an unproven commodity. Also, the same thing happened w/ Shingo. I'd say that turned out really good for us.
  20. We seem to be the majority at the moment in the poll. I want Willie on the bench too. Willie suddenly becomes a better player when you put his numbers up against other bench players around the league. I like having him on the bench for depth.
  21. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 04:58 PM) Yeah, I was getting ready to comment on the votes that the Patriots have received after the fact. LOL, there's been at least 10 votes since after the fact.
  22. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 01:48 PM) I don't see how anyone can rule out Iguchi for number 2 at this point. It's a Sox need and if he shows the skills in ST, give him the shot at filling the need. Agreed. I think ST will be enough time to see where he fits in the lineup.
