  1. Not necessarily an apple picker, but I believe the annual Johnny Appleseed festival is being held this weekend in Fort Wayne. It'll be probably one of the first times I haven't gone. It's a good little time.
  2. It's probably legit; I saw this the other day. I didn't post it, figuring someone else would get to it. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...tesox-headlines
  3. In 2001, they won 5 games. They've averaged winning about 2-4 games a year in the past 10 years. 1994 was their last season with a winning record at 7-4; in 1993 they went to the Independence Bowl at 8-4. Tidbits about this year's IU team: --Finally playing with a full roster --First 2-0 start since 1996; Oregon hadn't lost a nonconference home game since 1994. --First road win for the Hoosiers in the Dinardo tenure. We play Kentucky on the road this Saturday; we've got a pretty decent shot at coming home to play MSU with a 3-0 record... :weird:
  4. He opted to play in Europe. From what I've heard, he really wasn't meshing well with the other recruits either. He also never returned any of Indiana's calls after he said he would sign with IU. Good riddance. We picked up a 6'10'' guy from the Netherlands though.
  5. Colon ate his Wheaties and pancakes and sausages and bacon and cereal and donuts and oatmeal this morning.
  6. We don't deserve to be in the top 50 just yet. We'll get there, and higher. However, after a 14-15 season, it's hard to say you deserve to be in the top 50 in the preseason poll. We'll be there this season. I'm not worried about that.
  7. IU!!!!!!!!! Holy s*** that was fun! My buddies and I went into some bar to watch the game; the place was PACKED. Damn, we're looking a hell of a lot better this year. We're 2-0, and we go into Kentucky next Saturday. CRIMSON CREW!!
  8. I'm considering going to this 9/11 remembrance they have tonight here on campus. My uncle lives in NY, and he was really close to where everything took place. That was definitely a crazy day. I remember we were just taking the first day of ISTEP, and we had a break somewhere in between our 3 of 4 hours of testing that day. I heard rumors of it while we were on break, and I really didn't have a clue what was going on. I really couldn't believe it. I'll always remember where I was when I heard about 9/11.
  9. Well I was right in picking the Colts to lose. Pats win.
  10. Holy hell... Indy punts the ball, it's a huge pop up. NE bobbles it, and Indy recovers. Indy gets the ball on the NE 33 with just about 5:15 to go, 27-24 NE.
  11. This new emphasis on the holding rule is really being kicked in for the start of the 2nd half.
  12. Notice he said "still"...I doubt anyone STILL thinks he's worth $5M now, not even KW or JV's agent.

  14. And that was only the first half?? Wow, what a game so far. 17-13 Indy.
  15. Thoughts and prayers are with your family Mike.
  16. So true. We really haven't talked about Carlos much this season with the exception of him watching his HRs ...and his hit streak earlier in the season. However, it's really been because he hasn't been much of a problem this season. He's getting the job done.
