  1. Not sure, but I know Freddy was having some ear problems for a couple of years. He was really having trouble keeping balance etc on the mound. This last offseason he had surgery to repair that; that's why he's back to his usual form.
  2. I'm positive Torre picked E-Lo.....Here's a quote from the article on Chisox.com. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...s_cws&fext=.jsp
  3. That still works. At the beginning of the commercial, they say "Freddy's first batting practice." Esty was here during Freddy's first batting practice. So it gets the job done.
  4. That swing is so unorthodox. I don't know how he's gotten this far in life with THAT swing. It was easy to let it go early in the season when he was hitting everything, but wow. How does he hit like that? He falls over every time.
  5. Koch both times. We got Cotts and Valdez thanks to Koch.
  6. Pablo Francisco has a whole bit on this....very hilarious!
  7. Dude...That is so awesome. That has to be the sweetest thing ever. I get chills just seeing that place in person.
  8. Kirk's a bullpen coach for Detroit.... http://detroit.tigers.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/d...lub_context=det
  9. One question... Is there still a newsletter, and if there is...is my email on the list? I've entered my names in a couple of times, and it seems like it really doesn't do anything. I just want to make sure that if there still is a newsletter, I've been signed up.
  10. Good to hear.....I'm glad I don't have to see the Minny preview anymore.... Keep up the good work! EDIT: Wow, I love the new look. It looks like the site keeps having more to offer. Future Sox and White Sox Central are so awesome!
  11. I'm showing to all my non-Sox fan friends right now....I'm still laughing at it.
  12. I remember they just forgot to put Frank's name on the card, and there were like 1000 or so released like that. Those are the one's worth big bucks.
  13. Jose Contreras. E-Lo's lost it. I tried so hard to never say that 2003 was a fluke, but he never gave me a reason not to. With his loss in velocity and fear of going inside, Loaiza was just not really helping the Sox out. Also his idea of thinking that he could make $8-9M a year after Freddy's contract Jose Contreras has a hell of a lot of potential. I guess he's been tipping pitches, and we can easily fix that. Contreras can easily excel here with the pressure of NY gone, and now he's in a clubhouse filled with the latin influence. He'll really flourish here, and we have him locked up for a few years. I like the idea that we have 4 guys in our rotation locked up for a few years beyond 2004.
  14. Did you go tape the next season of Survivor or something?
  15. I'm glad we won, but damn, not making up any ground is pretty frustrating.
  16. Wow, it's been sometime since we've seen one of these..... To the Seattle acquisitions!! --Freddy G 7.1 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 8 K, 1 BB --Ben Davis A HUGE 3 run jack in the 2nd inning to get us going. Let's hope we start a new and better streak!
  17. Okay...Now you can all simmer the f*** down....
  18. Still a nice outing by Freddy G....His final line was... 7.1 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 1 BB, 8 K
  19. Freddy is owning them today. 7 IP, 2 R, 3 H, 7 K, 1 BB
  20. It's tied....1-1 now. LeCroy batted Koskie in.
