  1. Definitely Frank. He doesn't even have to put up the big numbers, but what he does to the opposition pitcher's mind is huge.
  2. I really think they're getting Benson....
  3. This is the only reason I don't hate Purdue football....Bernard Pollard. He went to my high school; this guy's seriously going to be playing pro. He's just a sophomore, and here's what he did in his freshman season. It's awesome though; he's on the flier for Purdue football season tickets. http://www.purdue.edu/athletics/facilities...tudent_2004.pdf
  4. Welcome to the boards, but I strongly disagree with what you just said. I don't know how long you've been reading Soxtalk, but there is not a strong bias here at all. Yes, there are a few of them; you're going to get those in every crowd. However, it's not really prevalent here; a very recent example is every single one of us yesterday stated that Bonderman should not have been ejected..... Yes, we may have been happy that we got the run if it was Caballo running, but I don't think it would have taken long before someone said something about it being a cheapshot.
  5. Okay....I thought this was a little ridiculous at first, but if Burke's going to the hospital after this. f*** YOU TORII HUNTER! :fyou There wasn't a reason in the world you should have been going at Burke that hard when the play wasn't even that close....
  6. I know Spiff mentioned this in a similar thread, but it has begun. Kid Rock is performing on Sportscenter in a bit..... :puke LMAO, does that sound retarded or what? Music performances on a SPORTS show. Eh I said that wrong....Let me try that again, "Music performances on a SPORTS show." Ah, much better....
  7. Excellent point. I hope that's the only way it's solved; we don't need to lose players for a couple of games over this issue. This team needed a wake up call; hopefully tonight does the trick.
  8. It's on like donkey kong. I expect a victory in blowout fashion tomorrow.
  9. Carlos Lee's scoring was vital to the final score eh? It would've been 6-3 instead of 6-2.... La dee fricken da....
  10. I guaranf***ingtee that no one would have been at 2nd base on that pop up on either team.
  11. Dude it's a gift that he's even on first base; there's no f***ing way he should be on 2nd on that.
  12. Great article by Chris De Luca from the Sun-Times....
  13. Hope you both can celebrate in White Sox winning fashion!
  14. I can't wait for tonight's game; it sounds like we'll have another huge crowd at the Cell tonight. This is really awesome for this franchise to get so many people through the gates this year. Let's take first place back for good tonight.
  15. First of all, welcome to Soxtalk. You'll love it here; we've been getting a lot of Dan Pasqua fans lately. I know it's been said, but I really don't see us going after Finley. His price is awfully high for the kind of player he is at that age in his career.
  16. Wow.....That'd be shocking; he's really been a Sox killer over the years. I can't say I will miss the guy. It really looks like the Twins are making the strongest push for Benson, if they're willing to trade DM in any package they send to Pittsburgh.
  17. I've said this a few times, but CBS Sports needs to make a 24/7 sports channel; the content on their website is so much better than ESPN's. That article expressed my views on that channel exactly. It stated absolutely everything I hate about the network now, and it noted the 3 programs worth noting in PTI, BBTN, and OTL. That is garbage that they fired David Aldridge; Stephen Smith is a POS. He brings the race card into every arguement he gets into.
  18. Jeckle you seriously need to hop off. He's been great lately, but A-Row alone is not going to make up a 7 run deficit.
  19. By no means is this game over. We should know that much now, as Sox fans. However, the good thing is, the worst we come out of this series is with the series win. I don't know about you guys, but that's quite alright with me.
  20. My first wasn't a home run walkoff, but it was the game against the Angels on July 8th. Uribe hit the base hit off the wall to end the game with the bases loaded. We won that game 9-8.
