I can't say I'm included in the disliking of this trade; we needed another bat. However, why don't you guys let the trade happen and see what goes down from there. It seemed like a lot of you didn't like the Freddy trade initially, how's that working out for you now?

Same here. We needed a bat; Everett might fit that bill. However, I don't know if he was worth any of the pitchers in our system that people have heard of. Who knows what will come of this? I forgot who said it, but this may help spark Everett's bat the rest of the season. It's got to make him feel pretty good that this organization really shows him some appreciation and loyalty, now that they want him back again since they have the shot to go after him.

I have a feeling that the Loaiza of 2003 is going to rejoin the team tomorrow afternoon, and pitch one hell of a 2nd half for the Sox.

If that's the reasoning, it doesn't exactly work. How'd the Sox fare against Minnesota last year? Not well, IIRC. This Sox team is doing a pretty good job against Minnesota in 2004. Things change. Hell, I know some of you don't want to accept it, but maybe Frank has changed for the better too. Nah, that's not possible; Frank will forever be the crabby player he was a couple of years ago. Just because you don't want to believe it, doesn't mean it's not true.

It's pretty crazy to think we're 7-3 against Minnesota at the moment, but that only puts us 1/2 a game up. The Sox need to step it up in the absence of Frank.

Isn't it kind of crazy how the last two times a player has bashed Frank for something like this when it comes to not playing during an injury it becomes something this serious where he misses such an extended amount of time? 2001 with David Wells 2004 with Jose Valentin
