  1. As Witesoxfan mentioned earlier in another thread, how many insiders knew about us getting Garcia before hand? I can't remember one. Let's see what happens.
  2. The Astros of this year really remind me of the White Sox of 2003. Terrible manager (though they got rid of their's quicker), big expectations, a couple big trades (in their case 1 trade, w/ acquiring Beltran), and hosting the All-Star Game. I'm glad the Cards are in first right now, but I think I would have liked to see this Astros team play up to expectations.
  3. Craig Counsell is the guy you're thinking of that's from South Bend.
  4. My life was okay until that no talent ass clown started winning grammys. ...
  5. f*** no..I'm not even going through this thread. That place is Boston's version of WSI; it's filled with lies. I've been told that by this Red Sox fan that talks to me on AOL.
  6. I have to go with the Timo bases clearing base hit too. I was at the game; it's rare that I get to even see the Sox in person, and to see a comeback like that in person was incredible. This has been a fun year so far; here's to hoping that it just gets better from here!
  7. That's how I feel. I got on and checked MLB.com, and looked at the box. I'm happy for E-Lo. He got to go to the All-Star game for the 2nd consecutive year (not sure how), but he represented the Sox well tonight. Nice job AL and E-Lo!!
  8. Great post! EDIT: You could also add that we don't have as much trouble with seeing pitcher's for the first time this year.
  9. Teams from the same division can't play each other in the first round. So that's why it's not exactly 1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3. If the Wild Card comes out of the AL West, we play the AL West Champ and the Yanks would play the Wild Card.
  10. Well we usually play horrible against the bad teams, and great against the better teams. The Tigers are now an improved and better team than last year's version, so we should have no problem beating them. However, the Tigers are definitely not going to lay over and let us just walk right to the division championship. Those 19 games against Detroit are going to be crucial to our success in the 2nd half. That's a great chunk of games against one team to play during the stretch.

  12. That's my favorite jersey now. I really want to get that one.
  13. I just bought that at the game I went to last Thursday; I love this year's theme. Hopefully the Sox Pride thing goes beyond this year.
  14. Haha my roommate at IU is going to bring his PS2; he already got the game. We're going to go half on the internet adapter for the PS2. We'll definitely have to play some games this fall. I'll keep you posted. This game is bad ass.
  15. So it's only Wyoming that stands between the Hoosiers and the Illini......
  16. I liked reading the numbers on that right there. That was a cool way at looking what could happen in the 2nd half. However, if any team knows it, it's the White Sox, that just because it looks good on paper, it doesn't mean it's going to look that way on the playing field. Let's do it Sox!
  17. Well I can agree with most of those; I thought you were saying that there were 10 pitchers outside of the all star game that were more deserving.
  18. Hope you have a good one man!
  19. No, name the 10 starters that you said were more deserving than Buerhle to be at the ASG.
  20. Donkey Lips What was that one thing called? The awful waffle?
  21. RJ's signed through next year; he's worth the risk. I'm really giddy at that kind of rotation, where Loaiza would be our 5th starter. -Johnson -Garcia -Buerhle -Garland -Loaiza
