The Cards are in town for a series against the Cubs, and JR wanted to catch up w/ an old acquaintance while he has the chance. It's no big deal; he's not taking Ozzie's job. Nor do I think he would want to; he seems happy in St. Louis.

Same here. I'm a little confused with the move, figuring Shingo has shown he deserves it more. However, I know Marte's not the same Marte of last year or anything, but I feel better with him closing games over Koch.

I guess Sportscenter just debuted as HDTV for the first time tonight, and they celebrated by unveiling this s***ty new set. Wow, it's hard to watch...... :headshake
