  1. Not a problem. They mentioned something about it for the first time on Full Access today, when they were talking about some of the on-field promotions and all the great things happening at USCF lately.
  2. I saw this on MLB.com's front page....Weird. http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/news/mlb...s_mlb&fext=.jsp
  3. http://www.soxtalk.com/index.php?showtopic=19462&hl=phase+v Here's what some others thought, and it has an article explaining it.
  4. I don't know about anyone else, but I'd like to see Alomar retire here. He's having a pretty decent season, and he's still effective behind the plate. He's Buerhle's personal catcher, and look how that's worked out lately. I would like to see Alomar retire in a Sox uni, and come back as some kind of coach in the organization. He's just a solid baseball guy.
  5. Booyah. http://www.soxtalk.com/index.php?showtopic=19962
  6. It has been posted a couple of times in some of the Garcia and trade talk threads......
  7. I understand, but it seems like we've had a lot of opportunities to really widen the gap between 1st and 2nd and we just let them slip away. It'd be nicer if we could make it where the record of the remaining Sox vs. Twins games didn't play such an important role in who becomes the division champ. I don't want to see 2003 happen all over again.
  8. I think I should tape this one........
  9. I vote for Gump in the 2nd poll also.
  10. Very nice man. I figured that'd probably be the smarter thing to do because I don't understand how horse betting works....But could you really make that much money if Smarty Jones did win it? Since the whole world was betting on him.
  11. Hmm....Who knows? Maybe he'll fall in love with the city. Ozzie's definitely going to be a plus that can help us sign him; I'd like to keep him here. I don't want to overpay for the guy though.
  12. I know I do. I just wish Willie would be comfortable with himself stealing; he's awfully timid for a guy with that kind of speed.
  13. I should be home by then; I'll be watching. I usually have Sunday Night Baseball on; however, I almost want to put it on mute. I really don't enjoy Joe Morgan broadcasting, but I still respect what he did as a player.
  14. Agreed. Before I discovered the Sox, Rickey Henderson was my favorite player. He definitely brought a lot to the table. He could hit for power, had the speed, and could draw walks.
  15. Agreed, about making this a poll instead. Run Forrest Run!!
  16. I was really shocked to hear this this afternoon. RIP Ronald.
  17. That's really starting to get old....I really wish we could capitalize on these Twin losses. I'm surprised to see we're even 2 games up. It always seems the Twins win when we win, and we always lose when they lose....
  18. Damn that was tense as hell....It's too bad it didn't happen though.
  19. Kris Benson, another one that is in the midst of many trade talks, is on the mound for the Pirates. He's looking pretty good so far; only 1 hit, 4 Ks, and a walk through 4.
  20. Probably Clemens.... Ha these Prior quotes are great. I don't hear many of them, not getting the Chicago newspapers or anything.
  21. I don't think that's even an issue. We'd have to give up some good stuff to have Seattle also eat some of his contract. I don't see that happening at all.
  22. Well if minor league talent is what they want, we definitely have a few options. While the Yanks have.....well...NONE.
