  1. I cant speak for anyone else on here, but I personally am not very comfortable at the fact that it will be Crede, Davis, and Harris bringing up the bottom of our order. Hopefully they will come into there own this year, but I still hope KW makes a move
  2. from rotoworld: White Sox signed RHP Dustin Hermanson, who had been with the Giants, to a two-year contract. Hermanson was pretty clear that he didn't want to sign with a team unless he was guaranteed to be used as a closer or a starter. We wonder if that means he was promised Shingo Takatsu's job. We'll find out shortly enough. Hermanson had a 4.53 ERA in 2004 and that was considered one of his good years. He's not someone who should have gotten a multiyear deal. Dec. 8 - 2:30 pm et
  3. Man this guy sold me today...hell of a game from him, nice to see great addition and I can't wait to see more of him, couple hits, walk and a few runs scored...great game!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  4. i am overloaded with pitching....batista,duckworth, wood, halliday, martinez, mota, marte, and koch....might deal 2 or three of them...make me an offer
  5. Sorry should have clarified....I wasn't talking about Cotts, I was talking about Campos getting the long relief shot...I have been backing him for awhile as the underdog to get a spot
  6. From Rotoworld: Francisco Campos struck out seven batters in three innings of relief work in the White Sox 'B' game on Monday. Campos will begin pitching in the 'A' games. If he continues pitching this well, he could nab a spot as a long reliever for the White Sox. Source: Chicago Tribune Neal Cotts - Starting Pitcher - White Sox Mar. 9 - 12:16 am et Left-hander Neal Cotts yielded one hit in three innings in a 5-0 "B" game victory over the Diamondbacks. Cotts walked four and struck out two. His presence in the 'B' game means he is likely trailing Dan Wright and Jon Rauch for the fifth starter job in Chicago. That's a hell of a job for that kid hope he grabs that long relief spot.
  7. We've been watching his numbers decline over the last three years.....
  8. I have all the faith in the world in Don Cooper, I definately think he can get it done with Schoeneweis, and this year he has had plenty of time to work with him. He should be a pleasant surprise.
  9. I'm pretty sure Frank finished in the top 5 last year for MVP voting, I see no reason why he couldn't have a repeat year
  10. Any word on Uribe putting in extra time or trying to win the 2b job at all?
  11. This is good news for me, of course i do love frank thomas...that last tidbit about the scouting director was interesting, i wouldn't mind him coming over here and working his magic for us in our depleted system
  12. I do not consider him a manger YET cause he hasn't managed a game. You wouldn't call somebody a baseball player who has never picked up a ball and a bat and you wouldn't call somebody a football player if they never put on pads, its the same thing, it's just a title. It will all change here in a month and a half or so, so there is no real point in arguing about what I consider him. I agree with the second part of your statement about them needing to give him respect and I sure hope the do..but I am weary about the job he will do, I certainly hope he does a great one.
  13. Ozzie and Franks numbers/relationship had nothing to do with the original convo...as I said earlier.."on an unrelated note"--the comment in green refers to that. In addition I was just pointing out that Ozzie's accomplishments mean nothing long-term ex. HOF. Nor was his skill anywhere close to where Franks is....the guy was cut by the Devil Rays for god sakes when he was Franks age
  14. Well then I hope he starts to run out ground balls, hustling and moving runners along, and then when he retires he can have his plaque in the HOF sit right next to Ozzie's
  15. I agree with the first part, however it would have never got to the media had the organization handled it correctly. Secondly, I agree in part to what you are saying however, I do not consider Ozzie a manager, he has yet to manage a game yet on any level, not even little league. And so far the way Frank has played the game doesn't bother me, anyone else upset about 42hrs and 105 rbi's for a 35 year old??
  16. Don't worry, you are not the only one!
  17. I agree with the first part, I just fail to see the reasoning behind bringing up the past...a relationship will never get better if someone continues to do that...and on an unrelated note, I do not know how comfortable I feel with Ozzie telling Frank how to play the game, just based on their career #'s to date,
  18. sorry about the above errors..i meant to say---I wish we could just wait and see what happens rather than bringing up s*** from the past that everybody already knows about
  19. Ozzie did say the things he said, and in my opinion Frank took the high road by not going to the media and adding fuel to the fire, he just kept his mouth shut and kept doing the things he was supposed too, hell even Rowand said he wasn't angry and he wouldn't talk to anyone till ST. I am not offended by truth of the article, and I know that wasn't directed solely at me. Frank is not perfect, far from it, everyone is. My point was that this writer was bringing up past history to bring fuel to a fire that is already burning well enough on its own. He is reporting on something that MAY or MAY NOT happen. We all know what went down this winter and what has happened in the past...why bring it up, and yes everyone is waiting to see what will occur on Wednesday, but why can't we just wish we could wait and see without bringing up s*** from years past?
  20. Well we know that Frank has been working out everyday all off-season...mostly with Rowand...why is there a double standard here??? It's ok cause Maggs is playin ball in Mexicoa and Konerko got married...but it's not ok cause Frank spends his time working out??? Come on....
  21. I think he could have easily have set the tone for what MAY HAPPEN in a different way...he didn't have to write a whole article bashing Frank on what has happened in the past. BoZo the Clown MAY become president...i MAY change my name to skinnyguy78 if i drop 10 pounds and the White Sox MAY go 162-0....all these are maybe's and no more true than what this article has to say about the situation that MAY occur on Wednesday...all this guy did was write an article about something that never happened and based it on facts that happened years ago
