  1. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 26, 2005 -> 02:37 PM) Are you a rockies fan also? I root for the Rockies and follow them generally but I was born and bred a White Sox fan. When the White Sox come to town I'll be at Coors Field in my White Sox attire cheering the road team to victory.
  2. I can't even listen to Farmio without thinking about his sockless feet. UGH!
  3. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ May 26, 2005 -> 02:27 PM) Carlton chose who "his" team and who "his" fans were when he chose which cap he wore into the hall of fame. I don't think it's too far-fetched to feel betrayed by that decision. Is he that vindictive that he needs to punish an entire city for the actions of an asenine owner? Uh, okay. I'm done. You have the right to your opinion just don't share it my thread about today's Cubs/Rockies game.
  4. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ May 26, 2005 -> 02:25 PM) ah yes, we needed a change of subject, those cubs do suck I figured a good thread kidknapping might be entertaining this afternoon. The Rockies started six rookies today and their manager is back here tending to his extremely ill 3 year-old daughter. If ever a team was ripe for the picking it is and was the Rockies. But, not by these Cubs. It's really too bad.
  5. I've figured out the problem. Ozzie isn't giving us enough to talk about this week. So, we're stuck arguing over crap and in some cases just making s*** up. Oh well. How bout them Cubs?!?!? The Rox we're 3-20 on the road going into today's game.
  6. How about a thread on the bars and restaurants surrounding the Cell?
  7. QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ May 26, 2005 -> 01:42 PM) How do we know that this pitcher sucks without seeing him ever pitch... We have amazing powers.
  8. YES!!! Two in a row against a fellow first place team in their house.
  9. Never a doubt... when you're listening to the radio.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ May 25, 2005 -> 09:33 PM) Excellent managing by Ozzie here. No matter what happens, he made the right decision with the pitching this inning. That sound you here is me passing out and slamming my head on the ground. Good to see you give credit where credit is due, Fathom.
  11. Please tv watchers... tell me that Hermanson has been warming up.
  12. Two lefties coming up and only one trusted lefty in the bullpen.
  13. So, will Ozuna finally give Crede a break tomorrow?
  14. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 25, 2005 -> 09:22 PM) BTW -- is it just me, or shouldn't Konerko have made that play on the ball hit by Erstad? It was hit hard, but it was right at him... I was going to ask about that since I'm stuck listening to the radio here in Colorado.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ May 25, 2005 -> 09:18 PM) Ozzie should not let Garcia face Davanon here. He's a much better hitter from the left side. Bring in Marte here! Davanon is hitting .215 against RHP and .236 overall. Maybe not this year.
  16. The posts are rather thin when we're winning.
  17. I'd trade BMAC only if we got someone like Scott Rolen or Carlos Beltran in return.
  18. Should be Dye's night. He's 14 for 31 with 2 homeruns and six walks against Washburn in his career. AJ and Jurrasic are a combined 0-12 against Washburn.
  19. I know its fun to engage in these esoterical discussions but the fact is that the question cannot be answered until: (1) we see how McCarthy does in his next two starts (which apparently he'll get); and (2) we know the health of the other four starting pitchers when El Duque returns. I wouldn't be opposed to him going to the pen if continues to throw as well as he did Sunday. If he proves he belongs in the bigs it may be more detrimental to him mentally to send him down while we're in the midst of this great run. If in his next couple starts it becomes apparent that he has things to work on then we send him down for further development.
  20. Let's see how he does in his next couple starts in place of El Duque. The issue may resolve itself.
