  1. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 24, 2005 -> 09:59 PM) Anybody else feel bad for the hot female Angels fans for having to watch their team lose? Uh.... no.
  2. No one else I'd rather have up right now on our team...
  3. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ May 24, 2005 -> 09:45 PM) Ok, I cant get myself to ditch the game and go to bed. Probably just delaying the inevitable. Crede gets a f***ing hit! Stay up it's getting interesting.
  4. The trip to Coors Field can't come soon enough for this bunch.
  5. QUOTE(Whitesoxfan56 @ May 24, 2005 -> 09:41 PM) Crede or Uribe will come up huge for this team....GO SOX!!! You win most optimistic poster of the year award for that one.
  6. Marte better be pitching to only one guy. Get Politte in there after Finley is retired.
  7. QUOTE(Princess Dye @ May 24, 2005 -> 09:33 PM) "AAAAH": Podsednik going home on contact, even if it was the smart call "AE AE WHOA YES": Paulie bobbling the 2 out grounder and then flipping off balance to Buehrle these are the actual sounds i made, i think you all made similar ones.
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ May 24, 2005 -> 09:13 PM) This lack of offense hasn't really been just a streak.....our offense has looked pretty bad all year. We only have 3 players who are hitting over .270 this season, and we are awful at drawing walks. Thankfully, we found a way to win 31 games out of our first 43. I completely disagree with this. Yesterday was the first time we've been shut out all season. We have been scoring 4-5 runs in most every game this year until this recent streak. We lead the league or are second in steals, sacrifice bunts, and sacrifice flies. We are 7th in the AL in runs and 4th in the AL in homeruns.
  9. 11 straight retired by Buerhle and Politte and Hermanson are well rested. I still like our chances tonight.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ May 24, 2005 -> 09:08 PM) KW is crazy if he thinks that adding Frank Thomas to this lineup is going to be good enough to get it over the hump. This is the worst offense we've had in a long time. We had streaks like this in the last couple years though even with Frank, Ordonez, Lee, and Valentin in the lineup.
  11. Is Pablo hurting still? Because you gotta think Ozzie would have subbed for Uribe or Crede at some point in the last couple days if Pablo was 100%.
  12. Please come back, Frank. Maybe bring that Anderson kid with you too...
  13. It looks like the Angels have put in a f***ing headcase. And, former Cub no less.
  14. The starting pitching continues to be spectacular though. As long as that continues we'll be fine. Come back Frank!!!
  15. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 24, 2005 -> 08:55 PM) Yes, with just a little seriousness. I'm not happy at this moment. It's hard to be happy with the offensive output recently.
  16. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 24, 2005 -> 08:51 PM) Honestly, why are they trying anymore? I assume your kidding.
  17. Good at bat by A.J. That should chase Colon for the 8th.
  18. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 24, 2005 -> 09:48 AM) The best team in baseball needs to learn how to string a few hits together. Stop trying to park pitches and make contact. Small ball where are thou Yea, we're in utter collapse mode now. Folks, on Saturday we were one game away from sweeping the Cubs and going 20 games over .500 in only the 44th game of the season. Two games later we suck. Give me a f***ing break. There are things that need fixing. We obviously need someone to challenge Crede for playing time at third and Vizcaino and Shingo have been awful. Besides that this is the best this team has been since at least '83. Our starting pitching is 6 players deep, we have a very strong bullpen (despite Vizcaino and Shingo) and we are consistently scoring enough runs to win. Konerko and Dye are clearly coming out of their slumps. With Frank coming back soon, you have to be crazy to not be optimistic about the rest of the season.
